Ok have you ever seen a review where people rate an anime so low when the anime itself is good and they just bitch about random crap while not pointing out flaws as to why its so bad? Post these funny reviews here.

This piece of comedy gold is from someone who has seen only 4/?? episodes of Gundam AGE and said it was My little Shota or some stupid shit. Its obvious he has not seen the end of the first arc or he would know its not all ponies and rainbows. I mean on the first episode the main characters Mom is dying under a pile of fucking burning rubble its like he wasn't paying attention to detail.

Lol. [there are too many stupid reviews so i don't know which one i should choose. xD] I don't understand why they allow reviews in the first place because some of them, ok MOST of them insult the anime/manga. Who gives a f. if you don't like it, keep it for yourself.I have animes/mangas which i dislike too, but i don't start insulting them because there are people who actually like them. I think in a review you should describe what happens in the anime/manga and what are your feelings about it not to insult it, anyway, i try to avoid them but just pop into my eyes. |: MAL should have a hide-button for them.

I completely disagree with you. Reviews should be encouraged, and can aid someone in deciding whether they want to watch a series or not. There are many series I've not watched/watched based on reading some, and I don't regret it. There's nothing wrong with constructive criticism or pointing out flaws, and at the same time there's nothing wrong with praising it. I like reading what people have to say about series I like or dislike. I don't think that they're 100% perfect or anything, so it's always nice to see a different view on things.

Giving a rough premise of the series is fine, but outlining what happens...? I don't know if I'm picking you up wrong here, but do you expect people to say what happens until the end of the series? Like talking about the entire series and then saying, 'oh yeah I felt sad when x died' at the end? That's not a review.

The problem you have with this argument is that you can't make a constructive criticism from just 1 or 2 episodes, simply because there's not enough raw material to do so. If you have an opinion to make from those, then you're sharing your first impressions, not a review, and there are several chapter/episode discussion forum threads made for sharing those (even have a rating, so cou can see people's opinion of the first episode without even spoiling it)
You can make a review without spoiling anything. You can say how well was the character development, music and art, if the story is consistent or not (the "what happens" OverTheLimit was referring to), and your general opinion of the anime or manga AS A WHOLE, not just a first chapter.

Except reviews are opinions. There are very few qualities in an anime that can be looked at objectively.

i just made a blog ranting about stuff like this lol, even funnier i wrote a negative but imho deserved review hahahhaha but hey at least i slogged thru to the end before judging it according to my views.

OK,but you got me wrong there. I'm not against all reviews. [though that's what i sounded like... in the comment i wrote above. ] But most of them write reviews out of HATE. And you don't think it's "constructive criticism" when all someone has to say is " omfg!!! it's so stupid *insert something that happens in the anime* this is just so f. boring don't watch it" , do you ? I smell the hate from a mile distance. And like @undead_blopa said "You can say how well was the character development, music and art, if the story is consistent or not". I've read well done reviews too. In which the author of the review said he dislikes the anime [even though i loved it] and, like you said he "pointed out the flaws" and said "it's just my opinion it's not like it's a bad anime it's a matter of taste" [or something like this]. Overall, some of them are meant to be reviewers, but most of them are not. That's all i have to say.

You do have point there and I'm glad I like bleach and the other shonen jump titles. COME ON HATERS BRING ON THE HATE! Before I post I would like to point out I'm not a tard to these shows as I enjoy them but know their flaws. Just to point that out.

You know I bet most of them are just trolls who crave attention. While others are trying to say how they do not like it. I don't understand why they don't blog on what they think about the show. Sure not lot of people would check it, but at least it would be better to not get bash on.
