Well, for a romance anime, I have never seen one quite like Clannad. Still, if you're looking for happy endings, I would suggest Toradora! http://myanimelist.net/anime/4224/Toradora!

Other than that, I don't think I can help you.

God damn you fucking mad bro? Jeez.

On topic, Toradora seems like a perfect pick. She may also dig kimi ni todoke, Ano Hana, Hatsukoi Limited, and honey and clover.

If you had any sense of your surroundings, you would know that I was poking fun at OP. That being said, they did say high school romance, and Honey and Clover is set in college.

It's similar enough to mention and rather good show for the whole romantic comedy school vibe.

While I can understand that point, you must remember that Honey and Clover is a Josei anime. Unless the girl he is trying to impress is older, of which I have no idea, then she might find it a little bland and drop anime altogether.

I personally didn't begin to like Honey and Clover until episode 8, when they played that certain board game. However, I could be wrong about this whole thing and it could work.

All in all, what I'm trying to say to OP is that you know the person you're trying to impress the best, and while suggestions from strangers might be helpful, make sure you research them a little before flat out risking the chance that she might not like it.

Quote wars!

Granted the age of the OP, and the themes presented in wandering son that are really aimed towards more mature, adult audiences it is probably safe to assume the woman is "older" or atleast old enough to potentially enjoy josei.

By serious themes, we do not mean. "omg letz hav sex all day!!!11"

We mean that this anime is meant for women in their twenties and you'd need a strong amount of anime experience to fully appreciate it if you don't fit that description.

I would stick with Toradora if that's the case.

Hey have you ever heard of this thing they call, "sarcasm"? =d
Sarcasm is "a sharp, bitter, or cutting expression or remark; a bitter jibe or taunt",[1] usually conveyed through irony or understatement.[2] Most authorities distinguish sarcasm from irony;[3] however, others argue that sarcasm may or often does involve irony[4] or employs ambivalence.

Aha, you got a point there. Well played.

However, you're missing the point, you come into a recommendation topic and completely recommend something that doesn't fit the person's request. You have an avatar of yourself giving a deathstare into the camera, like you're some sort of amazing tough guy. On top of that, your signature and your interests further prove that you're attempting to impress people.
Then you deny the fact that you're attempting to act tough.

I mean, I've never seen someone who tries to give off an image of themselves more than you, while still failing at it.

Edit: Also, I am in no way shape or form insecure about myself. If I were, would I really post so many ways for people to find me on a public profile?

Looks like you fail at fully comprehending the concept of insecurity then. Obviously what you want to show are things you aren't insecure about, derp derp. Insecurities are usually things people are unaware of themselves. Open a book, you might learn something.

But things like making presumptuous ad hominem statements towards someone over the internet due to naive over-analyzations over someone's profile can be taken as pretty strong evidence of someone's insecurities.

You have a long way to go and you come off very naive with every response. Precisely why you made a mistake earlier that even someone like you who seems to show a lack of self awareness can admit to.

A half-sarcastic, sometimes in all caps, "okay you win" response is very common and very expected in situations like these.

Oh and the obligatory:

Yeah, I'm not stupid and I can see when I've lost an argument. However, I will reinstate that I am not insecure about myself, I got over those feelings when I was a teenager. You making that assumption is no better than me making the one I made. Now I think I shall go to bed. :)
