Bloodcalibur said: saying pretty much isnt a spoiler, its to vague, especially since claymore is pretty infamously known to have a high body count, now if i said "character name" dies that would be spoilerDJIzzyIzzyHitler said: Bloodcalibur said: Claymore Spoiler: Treekodar said: Claymore had me getting a bit annoyed because it was, well, over. I'm still waiting for an OVA to bridge to a season 2. Read the manga instead. The anime can be seen as an "it never happened, really" kind of thing after like episode 21. All you'd have to do is start at Chapter ~65 (not exact, but somewhere around there). And there's currently 124 chapters out. It goes far past what the anime covered, and far more interesting. You should put those in spoiler quotes btw. And that part is wayy besides my point. It's like we're having two completely different discussions now. I was referring to the manga having a totally different event during the events of the North in Pieta and how the manga's continuation is far different from what the anime's ending implied. Plus, my other point was that the manga continues way beyond the anime. So, I don't see your point. "Being a fan of something is like having a penis. It's normal to have one and it's nice to be proud of it. But for the love of god, don't pull it out in public and don't wave it in other's faces." |

Threads of TIme... Worst asian comic i've read due to all the depressing things that happened to the main character on his way to take out the enemy. |

Baman said: Texhnolyze. Such a magnificently nihilistic and destructive ending, where all hope is crushed underfoot. You guys beat me to it. D: <img src="http://osu.ppy.sh/stat2/Deitra-0.png" /> |

Going with saddest ending, first one that comes to mind is Elfen Lied. edit: Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom, I'd forgot about this one since it was so long ago i saw it. I had a bigger attachment to the characters in this so yeah Requiem for the Phantom. Modified by Hermit_Chuck, 03-11-12, 10:44 AM |

Anything made by Key... I'm almost certain they have a sadistic monster among their writing staff ¬¬ |

The ending to 5 Centimeters per second was a huge downer, though it was almost definately inevitable. The ending to Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~ was also a downer. And of course to the Fate Stay/Night anime. |

Its worth going through that bad movie just for the ending. The ending to the Mist was perfect!! Actually, that entire movie was just unintentionally awesome. I can name a bunch, but the biggest downer for me is: - Graveyard of the Fireflies (surprised this wasn't mentioned much) This one will make even men shed a tear. |

Stranger in a Strange Land(novel) and Area 88(ova) had the most emotional endings for me. After getting so invested with the main characters what occurs is really sobering. |

To be honest, I don't really watch sad stuff. But I would have to say Shuffle! is the saddest. Definitely left me depressed after finishing it. ![]() |

Well the biggest downer ending to an anime I've seen would have to be either 5 centimeters per second or voices of a distant star. Not sure if this counts, but the biggest dissapointmet from an anime I watched was Tatakau Shisho.... |
