The last novel only came out last year. |

The last novel only came out last year. The first two seasons only covered 5/17 Novels, 4/17 to be precise actually. They had more than enough content to go with but if they were waiting for the definite end before they tried anything for assessing pacing, profit and popularity purposes, then they might give it a second glance. However, as someone brought up earlier in this thread, Durarara! is a far higher priority LN-wise and I'd say don't expect to see a Spice and Wolf season before the latter. Though I could be wrong. Anyway, you all should just re-watch the current anime content infinitely ^^ (with minor breaks of course), it never gets old, in fact it gets better each time. Also, Yen-Press is speeding up translations on the Novels and I urge each major(like me ^^) or even casual Spice and Wolf fan to read them from the very first one. ![]() |

The translations for the novels are very slow too am I right? I plan to buy all of the Spice and Wolf english light novels soon. I dread the thought that there won't be a season 3. |

For starters, you could read novel 4 and 6. Four was skipped entirely in the anime but is definetly worth reading. And six is what happens after the anime. The anime is really good so it's probably not worth reading the other novels. Of course, if you want to go ahead, it's just that I'm kinda bored when reading something where I already know the story. I've read novel 5 and you can say that the anime isn't really missing anything out like it's often the case with some other animations. They announced that they're going to release three novels each year (before 2). Volume 7 is announced for december this year. http://www.yenpress.com/spice-and-wolf-novel/ Modified by Aru_, 08-23-12, 5:10 AM |

Even tho its been 3 years i will never give up hope. Season 2 just left me with this hole, This hole can not be filled with any other anime. They have like 400 + episodes of one peace and Naruto. I think they can make one more season of spice and wolf. |

Why wouldn't you want more Spice and Wolf? I re-watch the anime to the point of memorization and own all the translated Novels. What's the loss in more Spice and Wolf? If anything the anime made me like the novels more and the novels made me like the anime more, which in turn just increased my overall Spice and Wolf universe experience. So in the end, they only benefit each other. They both tell the same story but with a little different pacing, and a few minor detail/differences. They are definitely worth it, well, for a true fan at least. Spice and Wolf for life! ^^ ![]() |

I don’t care about a few minor details if the overall thing’s the same ... BUT if you do, go ahead and read. I’m fine with reading first and then start watching, however, the other way round I just happen to dislike it. Just my two cents ;-) |

Everyone has a different approach/preference of doing things, and of course I respect that and appreciate your opinion. I just like to encourage/inform as much as possible :). My post wasn't really directed towards you alone as well, though if it seemed negative at all, sorry, that wasn't my intention at all. I just get excited pretty easily when it comes to Spice and Wolf, lol. ![]() |

Well the complete series on blu-ray goes on sale in September, and i've read interviews with the creator saying that a season 3 at this point will be determined by its sales in japan and america obviously. I've already pre-ordered a copy. I have yet to fill the void that Spice and Wolf left so we all have to support this to get a season 3. And for all the naysayers out there read this, I once used to watch a little anime long ago called "Big O". Of course I watched it on Toonami, and I came to regard it as one of my favorite animes of all time. The show ended with like thirteen episodes so it was just one season. After it ended I felt really sad, cause I knew there was no chance for a sequel. BUT low a behold, eventually we got a sequel, the most interesting part...the sequel was created solely on how popular it was in america, Toonami literally got Big O a second season, I was completly blown away. Never lose hope people, never... |

That was supposed to be a reply to luigi-dude. Although i had an idea, if we could get adult swim/toonami to pick up S&W as one of their shows for their anime list it would increase the demand and may increase the fan base enough to make season 3 profitable |
