This is absolutely terrible. This episode we didn't have much of the jarring transistion between the melodrama and the fights, but the melodrama was disgusting. I hate Yomi so much, she is upset because Mato and blond girl have other friends aside from her. She wants to monopolize them. Yes, in a series about drama this point could be used to put across a good story, but here it just seems so contrived, and you know it'll be resolved with a little speech from Mato. Or, if they decide to make this the main plot, it'll be lots of little attempts by Mato. It won't be good. Oh, and that scene where Mato had Kagari talk to her about what she could do for Yomi was the biggest fail at an emotional scene I've seen in a while. Eugh. Kurogashi said: Very nice episode! I think this was the best anime best of the week (unlike Shit Crown). At least I was properly excited during this episode. Good stuff. I can't see how you can say that. Yes, Guilty Crown isn't very good, but this isn't either. They both suffer from contrived plot developments, and questionable character development. However, I prefer Guilty Crown because despite it's shittiness, I still think it's entertaining. I want to know how they're going to match up Daryl and Tsugumi, because it'll be hilarious. Also, at least some of the characters are likable. Also, the action sequences are far better. |

Ok, now we're sure the school psychiatrist is 100% evil or sadist. |

This would've been sooo much better if the setting was something a bit more mature, even a high school population would suffice. Getting all that drama out of middle school kids and their "problems" is a bit much, even if Saya is somehow drugging/magically/scientifically/whatever enhancing their emotions. This anime has it's whole "plot" driven by the tactic of "Making mountains out of molehills" spiced up by some batshit crazy moodswings. Now, I'm not exactly an expert on this subject, since I'm not female, 15 years old or retarded - but I don't think anyone meeting all 3 of these criteria would still behave anything like some of the "brilliant" characters in this story. |

No wonder Kagari was able to change, seem like most memories related to Yomi are gone. The way emotions show in the character's facial expressions and gestures are quite well animated in detail. Not quite KyoAni-good but still great enough to be noticable. So Yomi had already somehow become very dependent on Kagari. I guess this is because she was the only friend Yomi was allowed, she has only learned friendship where her friend is completely dependent on her support and can't live without her, and after such "friendship" broke she is being overly cautious about everything. And Kagari forgetting about her was the last straw.. I guess the teacher sees such small weak points and uses them to turn what used to be small fears and uncertainities into major psychological disorders. I don't know what she's after, maybe her intentions are good and this is her method of getting rid of problems like these. But this is just evil somehow, it's too extreme and it destroys relationships. BRS should kick her ass soon :d This episode was great, instant jump from 4/10 to 6/10, 4/5 Modified by VictimOfFate, 02-24-12, 8:31 AM |

I can understand why Yomi would be sad about losing her friends but damn her expressions are so exaggerated. |

Black_Wolf_90 said: WTF is Saya doing to these kids ???? This show is getting interesting and annoying at the same time that is I'm realy interested in how is saya connected to the other world and what is her goal but on the other hand I was realy annoyed with the amount of teenage drama in this episode I know that they are like 12 and they are all traumatized by Saya with hers creepy counseling but I couldn't but not get anoyed. So the things that caught my atention in this episode are: - It seams that everything does not become perfect when BRS kills someone because the real world person looses all his memory connected with their trauma. -Judging by the preview ,ep 5 is going to be awesome lots of BRS battling and other world characters are getting involved in real world?(someone strangling Mato ,Saya or Yomi) Anyway however I look at this show I think that they should've gone with the manga plot it was much more interesting at least that's the case with me. Too long, don't read. Saya, aka Black Gold Saw is inciting Dead Master to going berserk and do... whatever she wish with her power. As Black Gold don't have power to go against Dead Master, through Saya as human she can defeat, nerf and control Dead Master as her human and fragile form as Yomi. |

I'd just like to voice my opinion on what we know so far, and what I assume is happening. I believe that the poster "VictimOfFate" has it mostly correct - Saya/BGS is purposefully exploiting the minor worries and weaknesses of these girls to turn them into major disorders. ("Molehills into Mountains.") She first 'grows' the 'other selves' in the Dark World, and as they - the 'other selves' - grow, they become connected to 'Our World' through people. Once they are connected with the person in our world, it magnifies their emotions, both good and bad - and allows them to build up much more than they usually would. This can be evidenced by Yomi's breakdown in this episode. Usually a girl wouldn't be THAT damaged by these events, even with another self in the dark world - however we can see in multiple instances in this episode that Saya/BGS was taking special care of 'growing' Dead Master - purposefully pushing her further and further to that point of breakdown, both in our world and the 'Dark World'. As well as being able to pinpoint this, we're also able to generally accept that whenever a person/girl is killed in the Dark World, their worries and memories of those worries are 'killed' as well. This happened with Kagari and Kohachi - both forgot the events that led up to their worries and their breakdowns. In this episode, we saw that in Kagari's case, this was her entire childhood that she spent with Yomi. After hearing Yomi's breakdown in the kitchen at school, and not being able to remember the childhood Yomi was talking about, she went to Yomi's house to tell her to let go of her - this was the last straw for Yomi, and most likely planned by Saya/BGS. I love how dark this all is, and I just wish that people would understand, that YES, the drama is overdone to the max, but it's SUPPOSED to be that way. It happens because of Saya, and the Dark World. The entire premise is that BRS is bearing this pain and helping others regain peace - I really like this plotline, and I actually hope things get darker from here. Here's hoping for another awesome battle in next week's episode and a long life for Black★Rock Shooter as an IP! **The above is all my speculation, but based on other's opinions and the anime itself, I'd say it's 90% right, hopefully. |

Man, i really hope for the same, but... Studio Ordet make this, just to sell and nothing more. The concept behind Black Rock Shooter is VERY GOOD! I sincere think. But, there not effort in done this well. Just watch the TV Special that NHK make with producers. Is revolting. BRSxIgnition said: Here's hoping for another awesome battle in next week's episode and a long life for Black★Rock Shooter as an IP! This is another problem. The action scenes are just weak and meaningless. Black Rock is "immortal". Nothing hurt her, sadly. If it was just the others Blacks, would make sense but even Dead Master seem not hurt her. DEAD, MASTER. MASTER OF DEATH. I would naturally think that she is overpower, truly capable to kill with her attacks, but nooooo. The max that ordinary CG do is show some butts. |

OK, this is first series which officialy left me confused about plot :/ It isn't bad, I just cannot properly figure out connection between "real world" and "BRS world". And how do you know names of characters in BRS world? :/ |

I don't have a problem with constructive criticism, but if you don't like it, don't watch it. If you watch it, and don't like it but have nothing to back up your opinion, keep your filth out of the forum and go watch your latest download of PreCure. |
