Damn! That Noto...ehh I mean Saya already manipulated everyone!
I wonder what is her intention.

from the looks of it Saya is just simply a Bully, she loves seeing others suffer by toying with others that is how i see her character

That's such a simple impression (I was also thinking that at first), I was expecting she'd know about the "Other World".

Well it looks like I am not the only one who is starting to like this anime. It's funny how in the first episode everyone was bitching and now everyone here wants to know what's going to happen next. My actual only fear is that they are not going to have enough time and will do what the OVA did and never explain whats going on. 4 episodes to go and so many questions to answer. I just hope they don't rush to answer them.

Also I started to like Kagari then at the end she still seems to be a total bitch. LOLOLOLOLOL.
Fucking christ she went from NO I NEED YOU YOU ARE MINE.

Interesting twist on the fact that being killed in the other world makes one lose their memory of the person that caused their mental breakdown to star with.

I see others don't agree but Yomi losing it at the end makes sense really. She literally spent years with no one but her little basket case Kagari who now wants little to nothing to do with her. Her world, for years, revolved around Kagari, now she can't grasp that people can have more than one friend making her as needy of Kagari as Kagari was for Yomi.

As for Kohata, I can understand the reaction. In her mind, she basically had a stranger telling her about events that never happened.

When this started I was wondering how they were going to make the story last 8 episodes. Now i'm wondering how is this all going to get concluded in 4 episodes.

I really like this series, but I don't think I would like it as much if I hadn't seen the OVA first. Hopefully now there will be some alternate world battling. That's been missing the last few episodes. I hope Strength actually fights or something, and doesn't just stand/walk around all the time. Dead Master finally awakens and Yomi broke. Next few episodes should be good.
I don't accept random friend requests, but feel free to PM me if you want to talk about something i've posted or talk about some anime/manga that i've seen.

Yomi's reaction may seem a bit exxagerated but it's understandable. Feeling useless and unloved often leads to such behaviour especially when a person is as shy and introverted as Yomi.

I already suspected that BRS beheading people couldn't be entirely good. Seems like she releases their human conterparts from their stress but they also lose emotions that were connected with their breakdown.

Kagari...looks like nozomi..sasaki..

KAGARI LEVELS UP

And oh how the mighty have fallen. Yomi is the biggest drama queen i swear. Suck it up princess. However, I do admit Kagari's visit was the dickest move, but that was most likely due to the school counsellor.

The counsellor can erase/manipulate memories? Hypnosis? Drugs? Her coffee (or at least I think it was the coffee, can't remember) erased the basketball coach's memories of the guy, and the counsellor's red BRS chick taking away Kagari's one has erased Kagari's memories as well. Well at least we know that there is a direct link between both worlds now, and that the BRS world can directly affect the real world.

5/5 Frkn amazing episode imo.

Just as Keikaku Saya. Well played.

Silly lesbian Yomi, you're just friends and you will forever be 2nd place to Yuu.

I think I backtracked the scene 3 times when Yomi is getting mindfucked. How I loved the faces she was making.

I immediately had to think of:

I feel for Yomi, it's painful to be left just like that. I'm sure Mato will come to the rescue, though.

Animation wise, this episode was MUCH BETTER than the last one. At least they did Yomi's facial expressions properly and didn't make them look like some random shit.

Story wise, it was still crappy. 3.5/5.

Yomi goes nuts. Prolly cause of Saya, who seems to be sharing out her insanity with everyone. Yuu still seems to be oblivious to everything. More of the dream world leaking to the real? Green lightning in Yomi's eyes and her messed up digital scream? Dunno... Saya needs to die. Also, sempai whats-her-name forgets that guys confession? I don't know if that is serious or she is acting/suppressing it... Messed up, yet awesome.

This is absolutely terrible. This episode we didn't have much of the jarring transistion between the melodrama and the fights, but the melodrama was disgusting. I hate Yomi so much, she is upset because Mato and blond girl have other friends aside from her. She wants to monopolize them. Yes, in a series about drama this point could be used to put across a good story, but here it just seems so contrived, and you know it'll be resolved with a little speech from Mato. Or, if they decide to make this the main plot, it'll be lots of little attempts by Mato. It won't be good.

Oh, and that scene where Mato had Kagari talk to her about what she could do for Yomi was the biggest fail at an emotional scene I've seen in a while. Eugh.

Very nice episode! I think this was the best anime best of the week (unlike Shit Crown). At least I was properly excited during this episode. Good stuff.

I can't see how you can say that. Yes, Guilty Crown isn't very good, but this isn't either. They both suffer from contrived plot developments, and questionable character development. However, I prefer Guilty Crown because despite it's shittiness, I still think it's entertaining. I want to know how they're going to match up Daryl and Tsugumi, because it'll be hilarious. Also, at least some of the characters are likable. Also, the action sequences are far better.

This would've been sooo much better if the setting was something a bit more mature, even a high school population would suffice. Getting all that drama out of middle school kids and their "problems" is a bit much, even if Saya is somehow drugging/magically/scientifically/whatever enhancing their emotions.

This anime has it's whole "plot" driven by the tactic of "Making mountains out of molehills" spiced up by some batshit crazy moodswings.

Now, I'm not exactly an expert on this subject, since I'm not female, 15 years old or retarded - but I don't think anyone meeting all 3 of these criteria would still behave anything like some of the "brilliant" characters in this story.

No wonder Kagari was able to change, seem like most memories related to Yomi are gone.

The way emotions show in the character's facial expressions and gestures are quite well animated in detail. Not quite KyoAni-good but still great enough to be noticable.

So Yomi had already somehow become very dependent on Kagari. I guess this is because she was the only friend Yomi was allowed, she has only learned friendship where her friend is completely dependent on her support and can't live without her, and after such "friendship" broke she is being overly cautious about everything. And Kagari forgetting about her was the last straw..

I guess the teacher sees such small weak points and uses them to turn what used to be small fears and uncertainities into major psychological disorders. I don't know what she's after, maybe her intentions are good and this is her method of getting rid of problems like these. But this is just evil somehow, it's too extreme and it destroys relationships. BRS should kick her ass soon :d

This episode was great, instant jump from 4/10 to 6/10, 4/5

WTF is Saya doing to these kids ????
This show is getting interesting and annoying at the same time that is I'm realy interested in how is saya connected to the other world and what is her goal but on the other hand I was realy annoyed with the amount of teenage drama in this episode I know that they are like 12 and they are all traumatized by Saya with hers creepy counseling but I couldn't but not get anoyed.
So the things that caught my atention in this episode are:
- It seams that everything does not become perfect when BRS kills someone because the real world person looses all his memory connected with their trauma.
-Judging by the preview ,ep 5 is going to be awesome lots of BRS battling and other world characters are getting involved in real world?(someone strangling Mato ,Saya or Yomi)
Anyway however I look at this show I think that they should've gone with the manga plot it was much more interesting at least that's the case with me.

Too long, don't read.

Saya, aka Black Gold Saw is inciting Dead Master to going berserk and do... whatever she wish with her power.
As Black Gold don't have power to go against Dead Master, through Saya as human she can defeat, nerf and control Dead Master as her human and fragile form as Yomi.

I'd just like to voice my opinion on what we know so far, and what I assume is happening.

I believe that the poster "VictimOfFate" has it mostly correct - Saya/BGS is purposefully exploiting the minor worries and weaknesses of these girls to turn them into major disorders. ("Molehills into Mountains.")

She first 'grows' the 'other selves' in the Dark World, and as they - the 'other selves' - grow, they become connected to 'Our World' through people. Once they are connected with the person in our world, it magnifies their emotions, both good and bad - and allows them to build up much more than they usually would. This can be evidenced by Yomi's breakdown in this episode. Usually a girl wouldn't be THAT damaged by these events, even with another self in the dark world - however we can see in multiple instances in this episode that Saya/BGS was taking special care of 'growing' Dead Master - purposefully pushing her further and further to that point of breakdown, both in our world and the 'Dark World'.

As well as being able to pinpoint this, we're also able to generally accept that whenever a person/girl is killed in the Dark World, their worries and memories of those worries are 'killed' as well. This happened with Kagari and Kohachi - both forgot the events that led up to their worries and their breakdowns. In this episode, we saw that in Kagari's case, this was her entire childhood that she spent with Yomi. After hearing Yomi's breakdown in the kitchen at school, and not being able to remember the childhood Yomi was talking about, she went to Yomi's house to tell her to let go of her - this was the last straw for Yomi, and most likely planned by Saya/BGS.

I love how dark this all is, and I just wish that people would understand, that YES, the drama is overdone to the max, but it's SUPPOSED to be that way. It happens because of Saya, and the Dark World. The entire premise is that BRS is bearing this pain and helping others regain peace - I really like this plotline, and I actually hope things get darker from here.

Here's hoping for another awesome battle in next week's episode and a long life for Black★Rock Shooter as an IP!

**The above is all my speculation, but based on other's opinions and the anime itself, I'd say it's 90% right, hopefully.

Man, i really hope for the same, but... Studio Ordet make this, just to sell and nothing more.
The concept behind Black Rock Shooter is VERY GOOD! I sincere think. But, there not effort in done this well.
Just watch the TV Special that NHK make with producers. Is revolting.

This is another problem.
The action scenes are just weak and meaningless.
Black Rock is "immortal". Nothing hurt her, sadly.
If it was just the others Blacks, would make sense but even Dead Master seem not hurt her. DEAD, MASTER. MASTER OF DEATH. I would naturally think that she is overpower, truly capable to kill with her attacks, but nooooo.
The max that ordinary CG do is show some butts.

It isn't bad, I just cannot properly figure out connection between "real world" and "BRS world". And how do you know names of characters in BRS world? :/

I don't like it, neither Guilty Crown, i hate from the bottom of my heart.
I watch to just to be able to slaughter more properly.
Seriously, you can not only watch good anime.
Sometimes you need to watch bad anime to understand why they are bad and understand why others are good.
Black Rock Shooter itself is very good, just happen to fall in bad hands.

I believe the only way to kill off a character in the Other World is by beheading them. They're all kinda like machines; you have to cut the circuits that make them work to destroy them. Chariot looked like a broken robot when she was being dragged over to that pit.

Why are you here?

You cannot speak/type english properly, you are insulting the series and making jokes at random, without adding your views on anything.

All you've really said is that you like BRS itself, but the anime sucks, and then you have spent the last 3+ hours bashing on the series at random without reason.

I don't get you. If you have nothing to contribute other than:

1. Not everyone is from America
2. When people don't like stuff they might get a little unfair. Or they're just plain bored.
