| I was so happy when it finally got subbed~ All I could say is that it started beautifully and it ended beautifully. I couldn't help myself from crying although I've read the manga ;___; I'm glad it got animated, they've done a good job with it! |

| First of all I am really really really glad that a good group like Commie picked it up for subbing. I was worried that maybe this movie would go unnoticed. But thank goodness I was wrong. Loved the story 10/10 from my side. A short and a very sweet story.The length of the film though short has been very successful in developing a magical atmosphere and has precisely narrated the story very well. Personally I loved the part of Hotaru's first visit to the forest and her first encounter with Gin. It was funny. It was warm. |

| Very, very good. @Pangeaa same here, man. I loved every Natsume Yuujinchou season, shows like these are just so smooth and easy to watch, the art is really beautiful. I 9/10'd it and I feel bad about it. |

| I personally enjoyed the watch, it didn't hit me as much as 5CMPS did, but that was partially due to the realism and relevance of those events. I felt that the ending was done well, I didn't want to see her with some other guy, leaving after the brief monologue was the best way to end it, even if it's inevitable. It's best remembered as a story of pure and innocent love I guess. |

| I'm glad that my high expectations were met. I rarely cry while watching anime, but this one made it happen. That first and last hug was done so well, it really was the epitome of bittersweet. Renzokuken said: Same here.I 9/10'd it and I feel bad about it. |

| It was amazing thorughout, and the ending and the overall feeling was very bittersweet, yet it was warm and naive enough to avoid being crushingly depressing. And the mask kiss was one of the best romantic scenes I've seen in anime. Top3 anime of 2011 to me easily. 5/5, 8/10 |

| ANBU has created a new Pedo squad. Seriously this has been a great and touching story with nice soundtrack and animation. The Romance between Hotaru and Gin was displayed on a very nice way. Season by season, Year by Year and it ended with the most clumsiest moment. I might have gone 2 soft lately by giving a lot of works high scores. Maybe I've just picked up the right ones to check out. The quality most probably have improved a lot with influences from over the world now with information and technology next to the internet. |

| As a Natsume fan, I loved this. Everything was done very well and the music seemed especially spectacular this time. It was almost refreshing having Gin suddenly disappear like that and how Hotaru went from bliss because she gets to hug him and then sad the next moment because he's no longer there. If anything could be changed, then some extra padding would be nice, maybe a few minutes to wrap up the ending and see what Hotaru does. |

| really nice relaxing short film liked the relationship between the two of them (felt very pure),but it's sad that he ended up disappearing even though i felt it would happened just how it did felt a bit sudden and unexpected to much for it to effect me fully as others had said if it was a bit longer and he ended up touching while protecting her for whatever reason would had been better imo. still glad they got to touch in the last moments though |

| Such a beautiful and fresh feeling movie, I really enjoyed it! The music was really lovely in this, and the light concept was played out really beautifully. As soon as he touched that child's hand, I just knew it was going to turn out to be a human child. I even teared up which surprised me since I can't remember ever getting attached to a character so quickly, enough to cry for them.. Reaching out his arms and telling her that they could finally hug, and seeing their happiness until he faded away, it was so upsetting. It'll definitely be one that I will rewatch again and again, it was so short but it is truly a beautiful movie! |
| A little gem of a beautiful film...Gin was dreamy and so serene and in love with Hotaru...and how she not come to love him in return? They cherished their precious time together...such sweetness is rare in short anime films these days. I loved it...and will rewatch as well. My eyes teared up too as he faded away and she was left holding his Yukata and forever, to treasure that precious mask...10/10. |

He goes on to reason that it must be something supernatural, since the villagers would never have a festival in such a place. The movie itself was touching and really, really cute. For all the dry & thoughtless SoLs we get every season, this was refreshing. A gem, I'd say, crafted with surprising respect and good taste. I just wish the author had emphasized the theme of "moving on" with more force. The pair's parting seemed more accidental than it should've been. |

| This was so sad. I cried for the last ten or so minutes just because their love story was so very cute and touching. I am disappointed slightly in how short it was but it made me feel a little reminiscent of the television show Pushing Daisies. Gin was such a gorgeous anime character and to see him disappear made me cry to say the least. I can only imagine how sad this would have made me if it was the length of an entire series. Still with what the staff worked with and the small time frame available to them I think they did a wonderful job. It makes me want to watch Natsume in complete now. :3 |
