was nice having seeing every one again, i only realise now how much i miss the show. "close your eyes".... give me some thing more then that ending!!!

I actually liked that they ended it that way, she was going to kiss him just like she did on that other world line when he confessed and she told him to close his eyes so to see that reference being used was freaking awesome! Much better than just a normal kiss or she say I love you to. I do wish that there were more episodes...I just cant get enough of Steins;Gate. It is hands down the best anime I've ever seen!

ugh I'm a weirdo. I KNOW he should end up with Kurisu... but there's a weird part of me that can't forget about Mayuri. I feel like more time at the end should have been spent on their story.

Awesome OVA, this is not the generic fan service / random no-plot OVA I expected.
10/10. I'm looking forward to the movie and Robotics;Notes.

I wonder if the 'lab members' might start getting more memories from previous lines, based on what seems to be happening with Kurisu in this episode (and Feriys had that happen already, didn't she.)

Also, what if Ruka and Mayuri hook up some day after this? Seems like a possibility to me. I thought episode 18 ended on a pretty bittersweet note, and thinking about how any good might come out of him being a 'him' now. I don't know; does that idea hold any water to you?

That was great, seemingly closed up everything.

What the hell is the movie going to be about?

The anime ends where the Visual Novel's true ends and it covers almost everything in the route. The OVA was an original in the sense that it wasn't based on any of the VN's script, which is good I think, since it was kind of a continuation of the series. But, even so I felt the OVA was a bit off.

The comedy was a little overdone. The police were hauling Okabe away left and right for no good reason, Okabe was pulling stunts with the airport staff(he normally doesn't act that way with officials unless he has a good reason to do so). And the part about Rukako. I absolutely fail to understand his stage scene. In the VN, the part where Okabe rescued him from those photographers, apparently they lost interest and left when they found out he was male, but now suddenly a crowd consisting only of males is fawning over him while knowing he's a guy? Also, in the TV series, the characters would suffer 'psychological damage' whenever Rukako's gender was questioned. So, basically, this event was purely fanservice(for I can't imagine which audience) at the cost of realism.

These points are actually minor details, and such things usually have little overall effect on a show(even though Steins;Gate is pretty famous for it's attention to detail). At any rate, they didn't take any big risks with the OVA, so all is well. I gave it a 9 (and the TV series a 10) because it still carried most of the charm that the TV series brought(along with a more complete end).

I had no idea this OVA would be this great, it went just the way I want it it to.

One of the better OVA's ive seen. Mayuri is funny as always, I was happy to see them show Daru's future wife. I like how otabe did the whole my love for you trancends time thing it really shows how deep of a connection he has to Makise. Im probably one of the few people who liked that the ova ended with that line we obviously know what happened and it leaves us really wanting more. This really sets up another series if they can somehow formulate another story line out of an already amazing and complete plot. For now ill just wait for the movie in March.

Watched this whole show again this past week, still love the heck out of it. That last line Kurisu says...melts my heart ;D

I agree with this. This is the best OVA I have ever seen, hands down. Other than that, I also wished that they showed the kiss.

We all know that it happened, but its a little cruel to leave us hanging at the most crucial part of it all =(

The OVA's ending at 'close your eyes' is the perfect ending, but the kiss would definitely be a plus for my own personal satisfaction. Its a little like in ep 22 when we all know that Kurisu came back to confess in words, but the last portion was too late, which kinda breaks my heart as for Okabe not being able to hear it.

Anyway, this OVA deserves its 10/10
