Edit: Sorry - please remove/close - haven't seen that it was denied - being a doujinshi. I recently watched the 4 OVAs of "Exaella" but I can't seem to find it on MAL. Is it allready added/denied or is there an alternative title. reference: http://www.exaella.cyberpunk-anime.com/ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2160163/ Modified by Asturaetus, 02-22-12, 1:11 PM |

Any word on when this is being added? There is discussion about this anime in one of the clubs. http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=168879 Modified by ezikialrage, 02-24-12, 8:57 AM |

As stated in my edit - it was "denied" because it is a doujinshi and these are only added to MALs database if they are acquired/released by something called a "reputable company" ^^ |

I thought a doujinshi is a fanfiction manga. |

Nope - also anime can be called dojinshi - the only relevant characteristic is the self-publishing aspect. |

Up. Also suggest to add this joint Russian-Japanese project. |

I dont get it. "She and Her Cat" is doujinshi too, and it only has 5 minutes in it! Exaella is exelent 90min video on two DVDs, and I want to add it to my list! |

She and Her Cat was made by Makoto Shinkai, who is now a very famous and acclaimed anime director. Once/If Exaella's creator reaches a similar status, we might include it. But even then, this really doesn't qualify as anime, i.e. Japanese animation created for the Japanese market. This is more, 1 Japanese dude + Russian guys selling anime to the West. |

Too subjective. 90 min OVA, Japanese creator is present, Japanese voice is present. What else is needed? There are more strange things in the MAL DB, like "There She Is!!". Exaela is good cyberpunk anime, I hope it will be added somewhen. |

I do agree. This is a very good animation and MAL is a good way to make more people know about it. Hope it's added soon. |
