Agree?

I think Sucker Punch did it better (it being using a fantasy world to symbolize real life hardships).

In BRS the girls have some fight or emotions, then you see it play out in the other world. In Sucker Punch, it just cut to the other world and you had to figure out/assume what that actually meant for the real world.

IDK.

For all we know, Sucker Punch may have gotten the idea for the other world from the BRS OVA - because the OVA came out a full year ahead of Sucker Punch.

Anyway, I think it's better in BRS, considering you see both sides - if we simply saw:


I think by portraying both sides of the conflicts, they are better able to control the story.

Interesting, now that you mention it I can't help but see the resemblance. The big difference though is what has created the conflict in the first place - namely we don't understand what Saya/Black★Gold Saw's deal is while with Sucker Punch it was mostly about the money for that hospital.

yes sucker punch is almost the same as black rock shooter

both have alternate worlds and both are dealing with mental suffering(or illness)

although i love them both and i can still see the distinction between them like the portayal of mental angst of the characters on black rock shooter is more better, well i read in the forums that some people thinks its somewhat overreacting but Yomi and Kagari for example have been lonely for a long time that they do not know how to properly deal with others, they are so dependent (or addicted) to each other that the sudden social life brought by Mato gave them a adverse withdrawal syndromes lol
