I was a little underwhelmed by having no Gintoki awesomeness, but then I remembered that this wasn't about him. Good end; totally want to see more of doughnut girl.  |

You got me there with the fake mayo-grenade, Hijikata. And Kondo on the pole! WTF Kondo?!?! XD Sougo and Nobume's SM play on the Joui gang XDD OH GOD. I love this arc. It is sad and touching and great that we discovered about Hijikata's past :) Next ep, Who Wants to be a MADAOnaire! |

I enjoyed the last two episodes of this arc a lot more than the beginning. Once again Gintama wipes the floor with 99% of other shounen anime with its "serious" arcs.  |

Amazing arc.IMO one of best serious arcs ever.Really touching, and it had many hilarious moments xD I loved this killer-girl who liked donuts.Need more of her, and lol Takasugi? what is this... I need more serious arcs like this one. Cant wait till next ep with Madao D:  |

I waited for all four eps to come out so I could down the arc in one go. It was worth it. Loved the new characters and all the pretty animation. |

Really, thorny arc is not that good if compared to benizakura, kyuubei, yoshiwara, and 4 divas arc. The fight and the joke was so-so. The only good thing about this arc is the ending when hijikata send an blank paper to his death brother 3/5 an OK episode  |

Hahah Kondo in the pole was hilarious. I'm glad we finally got a serious arc, also it was good to see Takasugi again. Can't wait for more of these arcs. |

Mayo grenade for the win! XD That was a nice ending to this Thorny Arc. And seeing Takasugi appear at the end.... sign of more great things to come |

I waited for a month so I could marathon this arc, and boy it was worth the wait. SO EPIC. I was in tears... I would've loved to see more of Sougo vs that kickass girl tho... he was also pretty badass. So thrilled to have Shinsengumi arc after so long :)  |

Great, now the shinsengumi found out that gintoki is the white demon and a former joi. And haha they should be more thankful to gintoki for always helping them without a reward :0 |
