This doesn't just relate to anime characters this open to tv show, movie, and even real life heroes/ characters. My personal opinion is Guts I can't ever forget how many people he can kill and shrug it off like it doesn't effect him at all. |

Hmm he's at least the biggest anime/manga badass but he at least didn't kill the child without hesitation iso there's room for someone more badass. :D |

In terms of GAR there is only one other character that I can think of that even comes close to Guts: Onizuka Eikichi. And even then Onizuka is a comedic GAR vs the shear badassity of Guts.   |

Guts and Onizuka? Yeah, two of the most badass characters (on the favs too), although utterly different genres. :)  |

Guts is a badass and we all love him that's all there is to it. ^^ |
