An excellent episode. I guess Angelica must have been the first prototype.

Sometimes this anime is just too painful to watch...but the stories are compelling and the characters are interesting. Excellent episode.

Quite the sad episode. What really got me at the beginning is that they seem to be after the kids to forget their memories totally. Think about it, give up all your memories that make you who you are. I know it freaks me out. And yeah the story about Angelica, just sad.
Such junk...

Depressing isn't always necessarily a bad thing. I think it's necessary for topics like this to be covered. Btw, this is probably my favorite episode of what I've re-watched.

Not a bad episode, we get to learn about certain side effects to the transplant. It's hilarious how blood thirsty Henrietta is.

god the back stories of these girls are so sad :( but they do it really well, usually i would probably be complaining about too much backstory but it just needs to be done for this anime, and no matter how sad it is, i can't stop watching, great anime

That should be the last backstory, unless there's another girl I don't know about. Or maybe a backstory for a handler. Not complaining, I loved this episode.

I guess Angelica was the first subject for the robo girl thing. Kinda sucks since she got all the negative stuff. Since everyone els except henrietta seem to have some form of their memory still. Kinda sucks marco lost his girl but I dont blame her for leaving him. At first I thought marco was just going to be some douchbag when he puched Angelica but turns out thats not the case. What I can gather all the handlers are actually nice people except for jean.

Wait, so will all the girls eventually lose their memories or is this condition unique to Angelica (since she's the first to undergo the surgery)? That's just so sad :(

Well this show puts you through emotions. Sometimes it is a bit difficult whether its my depression or the episode that breaks my heart. But glad to know that I'm not the only one who thinks this show is sad.

I think the back stories are more important than any ongoing plot. The point of the show is the tragic turn that has occurred in the lives of these kids. If the show focused on an ongoing story, we wouldn't feel nearly as much for the girls and their unfortunate situations.

In addition to Angelica and Marco's history, it was a bit of a trip to see the other members of the section act so casual and even personable with the little sisters. It's almost kind of sweet.

On one hand, you'd think that no one who likes children even a little bit would be able to handle working in this place, considering what they do to them after they "save" them - remember what happened to Claes' handler? On the other hand, if I were hiring for the section, I would still rather pick people who like children, as they will probably treat them better than those who don't.

Here's an uncomfortable question: does this project take a bigger toll on the handlers or the girls? The handlers are fully aware of what they do at work every day, while the little cyborgs might just be so brainwashed that they might not even be suffering, at least not to the extent you'd expect average human beings to suffer. Some of their priorities are incredibly removed from normal. Henrietta feels inadequate because she thinks she hasn't killed enough people this month. Maybe the brainwashing is a blessing, in a twisted way.

Of course, at the end of the day, most of their motivations come from familiar places. For example, they want to be loved (Henrietta), they don't want to feel pain, and they're curious just like normal kids (Angelica, the needle, and the story).

I can't figure out what the tale of the pasta prince means, though. It's way too specific and they spend way too much time on it to be just random. I'm just spitballing here, but what if the prince is Angelica and the pasta is her job? Considering her memory problems, every day is probably the same to her, just like the pasta for the prince. Ugh, I don't know...

One of the best episodes thus far, not saying it was holy shit balls amazing but it was very interesting to watch. My initial assumption was that Angelica was a newcomer cyborg and I immediately thought I was going to hate her. I don't and it is rather sad, the whole episode. So this was the start of the organization, with what, less than 10 members? Angelica being the first prototype...

WTF, putting an insurance policy on your daughter, trying to kill her to get the money only because his factory went under ... EXCUSE ME ... What the hell is wrong with you?

Also we got to know more about how the agency got to where it is now and how even the Handlers have a hard time dealing with what the girls have to go through.

Great episode but this made me really sad. Angelica's parents are scumbags. The other characters are very friendly and nice just kind of sad that Angelica lost a lot of memories.

Poor Angelica, her life is in shambles :(
I guess it's kinda a good thing that she can't remember all those bad things
Maybe it's her way to self-defense

Why only her though? What's with the other girls?
Can't she be fixed to become like the others?

One of my favorite episodes so far. I was wondering when the final girl was gonna get her chance to shine.

Still not quite sure what to make of this show. Seems like maybe each of these episodes are trying to convey some sort of deep message but it's going over my head. Or maybe those deep messages don't exist at all... I just want them to.

So far it feels like a textbook case of a show that does not live up to it's potential. At this rate I'll end up giving it a 6/10

Well, this episode was rather sad. Poor Angelica. I mean, I guess poor everybody involved in this situation. But, mostly, poor Angelica.

If their sad traumatic backstories and their lives as mindless soldiers was not depressing enough, knowing Angelica is losing her memories certainly is the cherry on top. I wonder if this condition is to her specific as I assume she's the first or also extends to the other girls.
