Taichi vs. Nikuman battle. Taichi was sad about Chihaya not looking at their battle, though.

Back to the kimono girl vs. megane guy, which Chihaya's looking. They did their best and kimono girl won with tear on her and Chihaya, and megane guy congratulating her.

Then Taichi's scream made Chihaya back to watching the severe battle side. And they each have one card left, and all of them are near them. She's regretting that she didn't watch their battle, very important one. The air is very heavy. The one near Nikuman was read after a long readings of tricky ones. Taichi frustrated at himself for losing, which is not enough to win. Nikuman talking to Taichi and Chihaya heard what Nikuman said... lol~ she's changing how to call people after hearing so.

And Chihaya already forgot what she did!! lol~. Kimono girl was able to do her karuta because the megane guy was her opponent. Taichi was tired and fell asleep and Chihaya got his head on her shoulder. (Nice moment and might excite Taichi fans)

Arata seeing the battle they did on the paper, and surprised to see Taichi's name there (2nd place). He decided to participate the battle.

That really sucks for Taichi.

Congratulations to Kana-chan and Nishida for winning and Komano for advancing! :D

But really wanted Taichi to win, his style and memory are so amazing... for it to come down to luck at the end... :( .. Awww *hug*

Taichi and Chihaya looks good together. x3 but I fell in love with chihaya x arata at the beginning.
But give them a good fight TAICHI! :D

I love this anime so much but kind of feel it's better without Arata.

Oh, wow. That was intense.

It is amazing how much I get into these matches considering I know almost nothing about Karuta. All four of them played their hearts out, and I found myself rooting for all of them.

I agree. Not hating or anything but he was absent for so long that i don't feel connected with him.



I RAGED! I screamed! I CURSED! ARGHHHHHHH! When Taichi lost i was "WTF?!". Oh, well.
This episode truly deserves 5/5

aaah a little sad that Taichi lost ;(
and well his expression during his match was really funny somehow ^^'
and oh I loved the little moment with Taichi and Chihaya... when he was sleeping ^^

My thoughts exactly, I just don't know much about him and his "long-breaks" got me disconnected from him, to the point that I almost don't mind if he comes back or not.

Poor Taichi ;A; The little Chihaya x Taichi moment at the end was win~

seriously, taichi has become one of my favourite anime characters ever. he's completely different from all other bishies in shoujou manga. like kazehaya, he's portrayed as being this perfect boy that girls can dream about..however taichi has many many flaws. he's a coward, he's selfish. but that's just what really pulls your heartstrings..he's so real. ugh all dis emotion after this episode.

this 25 minute episode was my valentine's date. and it was a great one.

So close, yet so far. :(

I don't really like Taichi, I like Arata more, but lately I am starting to take a liking towards him. So sad when he lost, you can tell he really wanted to win and he was upset when he lost. I could tell he wasn't gonna win, but I kinda wanted him to.

I also ship Chihaya and Taichi, so when Chihaya pulled his head towards her, I was smiling haha aww.

It's really a shame he lost! I wanted to see Taichi vs Arata, but well, I think the manga will end this way: Taichi vs Arata in Karuta! XD
