THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Chapters 60-66. It had such SlamDunkish feeling, I loved it. Inoue sees himself in Nomiya, I believe so. Many things to anticipate in the future. What a great piece of art. |

I'm so hopeful and proud of Takahashi. Too bad there wasn't much of him in this volume. I still appreciated more of the Nomiya backstory though, he played with a lot of heart during the tryouts. Looking forward to the next chapters! |

Now we know how Nomiya transformed from being the bullied into being the bully. LOLjk. But I am really loving how Nomiya is improving himself, which takes a lot of courage and dedication. Now we also know how he got into basketball. :>  |

I don't know why I've been avoiding this manga until now. I just finished everything in one go and I just gotta say that... this is a masterpiece if I've ever read one. I'm at a loss for words here. I've never read a more mature manga, and never something that's made me question the way I'm living my life to this extent. If I'd have to say what was best about this manga, the pure enjoyment would be quite far down the list. Because even though it's enjoyable, the message that it delivers is very, very powerful. And as someone who can often get self-centered and maybe a bit narrow minded, I think this manga has broadened my perceptions. I at least know that I won't be looking at disabled people the same again. And concealed in this cloud of words, stirred up by this story and swirling around in my head, I'm sure there's a great life lesson to be learned. So yeah, maybe I'm cheeky, but this manga really touched me emotionally. |
