idk if anyone noticed but maybe the best print reporter of our generation died this week. Anthony Shadid if anyone had the privilege of reading the Washington Post from 2003-2009, his reporting on the war in Iraq was...transcendent. he took you out of the press conferences of Generals and put you into the homes of regular people with all of their naked fears and humanity. it's so easy to just think of them as "the other side" but he reminded you they weren't, they were just like you, just pressed into this extraordinarily difficult situation. anyways, just thought he was worth mentioning. i'll miss his wonderful writing talent. as close to a poet as you'll find in a newspaper. |

The other one was a communist and other was the richest man in Russia... well maybe Putin was in the end the best choice. Our media reported a lot about Russia's election last weekend, there were even a non-stop news feed about the election on HS.fi ( = Helsingin Sanomat - the biggest newspaper in Finland) Epic pictures about Putin, the last one is somehow cute xD http://www.iltalehti.fi/ulkomaat/2012030415281793_ul.shtml If someone is interested about that crying scene http://www.iltalehti.fi/ulkomaat/2012030415283228_ul.shtml |

Awwww, that is an Amur tiger! Putin made a nice choice, certainly :) Also apparently, many people like him because he's so "macho". Pics certainly attain to that :D It's nice to see that my eyes didn't lie to me, too. I just hope that he keeps Russia Finland's premier trade partner ^^ |

I hate people and their fucking cell phones and obsession with their need for blather on anywhere they bloody well feel like. And most of the conversations are worthless wastages of good air. While not technically anime, currently I am a big fan of Hatsune Miku. At least I can go see her in concert. |
