| I found this episode the most touching so far..The bittersweet ending to the love story and then when Nyanko-sensei told Natsume that he'd stay w/ him even if he lost his ability to see spirits--under the guise of wanting the BoF, of course--was just so cute to me. |

| Wonderful, this episode was gorgeous. The fleeting romance between Hotaru and Akifumi… Natsume’s fear of losing his ability to see spirits… The scene with the thousands of fireflies… The bittersweet feeling it left at the end… I couldn’t stop crying during the entire episode. It was simply perfect. |

She made a sacrifice so that he could see that she didn't forget him, and to wish him well in his life. Man tears were shed this episode. EDIT: I realize the original posters probably won't ever read my explanations but I figure someone else might be curious. Also, I almost hope the next episode is more comedic (as the trailer suggests), I need a break from the Bawwww inducing stories as I marathon this. |

| Another touching love story between the Fey--Japanese variety(or the Fey are the Celtic variety of Youkai)--and humans. Ironically it is the human whose lifespan is like a firefly compared to that of the Fey. |

| Somehow all of the female demons behind masks turn out to be very attractive. Melancholic episode, I definitely liked it. Nyanko-sensei was really hilarious this time :D |

| Another story about how he mets a spirit that needs help. I'm not sure why but I get relaxed while watching this.. Something about Madara and Natsume just seems so chill and sweet in its own way. But, why is Madara acting like a bodyguard when all he wants is for Natsume to die so he can get the book? (Death Note anyone?) I know they made a promise, but it was a pretty contradicting one. I hope Natsume has realised that Madara has other intentions (or so I hope..) otherwise acting like a bodyguard is pretty stupid if you ask me. |

| No kidding - I started crying when the man lost his ability to see Hotaru and the Youkai's. It was so sad how he couldn't see her although she was right in front of him... Very good and touching episode. I think this series just gets better and better by every episode. I really love this series. |

| This was probably my favorite episode of the series so far, it was incredibly touching. The flashback showing the guy lose his ability to see Hotaru and how distraught he was over it, while she was right there infront of him, had me on the verge of tears, it was so sad :(. And while it was great that he met someone else and found happiness in the end, I still felt really horrible for Hotaru :(. It really is amazing how this Anime can make you feel so much for characters that have only just been introduced. |

| Although this episode is so touching and I could not keep from crying even if briefly, during the final. It is quite sad to see Hotaru go away, even if her beloved has found the love of his life, has still sad to know that Hotaru rather not see his wish. Excellent script, which can superbly capture the evolution is happening in the character of Natsume. |

| Grave of the Fireflies? Yawn... This episode? Cried like a baby halfway through and then a good 15 minutes after it was over. I really wasn't expecting this. Second-most moving moment in anime I've ever seen (if you're wondering, TTGL's final episode is the first). The saddest part is Natsume could very well have acted as a translator, but that could shake the marriage decision. I would probably wait for the ceremony to be over and then tell him the story. Not sure if that'd do good or harm, but oh well, I'm not a very people person. |
