So we're gonna adapt Dunky's method, but we will need to find out what to watch before we decide on the frequency.

I would suggest Yamato/Star Blazers because I read that a couple of people are interested in it. Feel free to suggest other stuff, this should just be a starting point for the discussion.

When you're at it everyone could also state their preferred watch frequency.
For example I would prefer a model with 1 episode each day. If someone can't watch one day, it's still easy to catch up because ot's only 1 episode, but by watching one each day it won't be postponed too long.
I could probably also do other models though.

On another note we could find one singular day to watch one movie, which should also be possible. For lack of other ideas I suggest the 1966 Cyborg 009 movie because it already came up for discussion and it's barely longer than one hour. Again this is entirely up to discussion though.
Check out our new Simul Watch CLUB and join if you're interested in watching stuff together with other people online to discuss about it in a more private and detailed matter than the episode discussion subforums can provide.
Also the Custom Tags Club, if you like to customize your tags and don't want to wait until the MAL feature is fixed.

Yeah, I think Yamato would be a good choice for this sort of thing. I also might be on board for Oban Star Racers if others are as well.

As for my preferred watch frequency: I prefer the 1 episode a day model also. I'm most comfortable with that pace.

I'll let you guys perform a test run :P I wish I could get over my prejudice of older anime, but I'm a terrible graphics whore so I know I won't enjoy it even if I want to. GOOD LUCK.

Shall we just make Oban-Star Racers our first project and make a discussion thread for it since we already have 3 people on board for doing it (me, Higashi, and Sandileina). I believe we are set for 2 episodes a day starting on Friday February 10. And then anyone else who wishes to join in can easily jump in with us. Perhaps putting a list of the ongoing simul watch projects on the first post would be good, but then again, I can see that becoming a hassle for Higashi if this club grows to be something huge.

I will make a sticky thread for that purpose, good idea!

About Oban Star Racers - For simulwatching with more than 2 people we need discussion threads anyway so why not use the forum. And if we're doing that why not invite everyone who wants to join us.
How did you handle it in the past by the way? 1 Thread for each episode, each day, or for the whole series?

Also sorry for "modifying" your post - I'm not used to have a edit button on every post and mixed it up with the quote button.

1-2 episodes a day would work for a club-wide project, most likely using a thread to hold all title-specific discussion in one place.

I would join in on the Oban-Star Racers project, but I don't currently have it on me.

Well, BakaBT was an obvious option, but university internet doesn't seem to allow torrents. And I'm too lazy to use a proxy or whatever would bypass it.

Unless it's a lot easier than I think it is.

We had one thread for the whole series. And actually, we re-used the threads for whenever another group decided to watch the same series, though that could sometimes get messy.

No problem, no problem.

Nice, I like your formatting on that thread!
