Good. To be honest I was going to drop the manga unless it ended soon.

We'll see what happens in the last 4 chapters.

Most of the raws for 352
100 year time skip between 351 and 352
from what i can tell Konaka and Setsuna had a descendant somehow.
Fifth pic shows Yue and Nodoka in the magical world.
WTF at the last one T_T.

Sora no Otoshimono not one of the best shonen actually ?
Hey, guys, remember Ikaros beat the Karren/C.C. and other generic female mecha character in newtype 2010 ! :)

Yeah it is... SNO is really good, the only thing keeps it from having a great plot is half of the time The writer is in a joking mood and half not

Let me give you a list of Shounen series that are much better than Negima:

The world God Only Knows

Beelzebub

Sora no Otoshimono

Rosario + Vampire Season II

To Love-Ru Darkness

TWGOK - not a battle shounen
Beelzebub - no, just no
Sora no Otoshimono - didn't read it, is it worth reading it if i already seen anime? Also, not a battle shounen
R+V II - while last chapters are good, i still don't think it is better, or ever will be better than Negima.
To Love-Ru Darkness - again, not a battle shounen.
Negima is a best battle shounen that a know, much better than Naruto, Bleach, or even One Piece, and it will be a shame if it ends now, not even concluding Negi's search for father.

Negima > One Piece ? HELL NO. From what I can tell, it manages to be interesting even after so long, Negima has failed to do that

Gonna go ahead and disagree. While mentioning that I never liked One Piece in the first place.
Jumping in Headfirst - I hear reading it causes immortality. Warning. Reading may not actually cause immortality.

Im very sad to see that one of the best manga i have ever read is going to end which from what i read in this thread is very abruptly (since i read actual volumes that come out in english)

Well, color me disappointed... I actually put this series on hold for a long while (haven't read since chapter 237 was released a few years ago), but I was really looking forward to getting back into it again and started rereading it today. I am sad to see that it'll be ending so soon...

I would like to pass on a sentiment as a writer to a bunch of fans. I can't say whether Negima is good or not, because once more, I didn't get that far into it to really be the judge, but that notwithstanding, one of the most important things for a series is its ending. People can say that something is too long, or too short, but as long as it's ending comes at the right time, neither of those statements are applicable.

In case its not clear I'll streamline what I'm saying. If you really love the series, or any series for that matter, stop hoping it will go on longer than it needs to. If the mangaka wants to end it, give your congratulatory clap and say "It was a good read" or what have you. By saying you want it to go on, you're essentially saying "I don't care what you have to do, make it longer!"

While that's definitely true I think a big part of the issue is that this announcement comes right in the middle of the party taking on a large-scale quest to save the world which until just within these last few weeks looked like it was gonna be an entire story arc. Plus the main quest that has been driving the protagonist since the very first chapter still hasn't been given any sort of closure.

While I'd be upset to see it end if the major plot points had been wrapped I'd also appreciate it from a narrative perspective. This right now doesn't feel like a conclusion though. It just feels like the story is stopping.

It was enjoyable for me. I kinda figured it was gonna end in the next few chapters. Maybe im easily impressed or moved, but I really enjoyed this manga ever since i started reading it over the summer. Even though people might have not liked this manga, i surely did.

Oh well. All good things must pass. Only Bleach will go on until the heat death of the universe.

At least, this grants us a slight chance of a proper anime adaptation. This manga is a goldmine, yet producers spared no effort in getting it to waste.

Got to catch up sooner with re-reading this.

Well, All Good Things Come to an End.

(However, it doesn't seem like One piece and Naruto are ending. Damn it, Bleach is already annoucing it's final arc which will probably drag, follow through!)

I knew it was ending - I could tell from the pointless fillers that Akamatsu was filling the manga with. I must say that after the readers found out who LM was Nagi, it created more questions. The whole point of Negi's journey was to find his parents. Did he find them? No.
I'm thinking that because they skipped a 100 years Akamatsu might create a side story of what happened in between? Not sure.

I hope its a sad ending where Asuna travels back in time but goes to far back and is stuck there for 100 years, then dies lonely looking for her friends.

Ya.. First thing is Negi start his journey to looking for his parent's .. and he didnt find it though..

Akamatsu Ken-sensei.. i hope he make another sequel of his manga and anime .. story tells about High school students and In the end negi find his parents that's the best ending in think.. and still.. there's so many mystery for this manga and anime >,<

Can't say I'm surprise this series ended. Lost interest in the series around after the Chao Festival future plotline. That's around when the series lost most of it's charm and instead became more of a fighting manga. He didn't concentrate on plotlines that should have been address instead he focus on bunch of other stuff. This ending is also a huge troll to all shippers, no one wins, I guess you can say no one loses either but still a troll ending for everyone. Lame.

Are you seriously just going to end it like this Akamatsu? There are so many PLOTHOLES left in this series you could bury the entire One Piece, Ippo, Conan, and Kochikame collections in there.

Well fuck it...unless you are the human embodiment of literature and arts I highly doubt this 3 chapter conclusion will be convincing.

my thoughts exactly, this kind of ending isn't satisfying..

That's sad... I read up to volume 8 and really enjoyed it (didn't have any more volumes past that at the time) - and from what I've read, he never finds his father?! Let's hope Akamatsu resolves that before the end...
Disappointing news, to say the very least.

I was sitting reading the last chapter the whole time going ..."Wtf this is sorta mediocre as a finale - WTF his dad is suddenly there and they mention something something about his health."

But I was also desperately searching for clues.... A few of the girls explanations state that "They got married" but never mention as to who...... perhaps one of these 2-4 girls is the one that Negi is with???

but ya... Sweet ending...but really left a bad taste in my mouth and makes me want to go cry... 9 years? for this?

I guess I should be glad it's finally over and glad I know what happened to everyone.
But I think I might be going into trauma point shock (which means I'm about to have a mother of an epiphany if I don't scream first.)

Will this be enough to wake my up again I wonder?...

More like when it gets a shitty ending. It didn't cause disappointment, it caused RAGE.

Yeah, this didn't even show what happened to Negi and who he ended up with, or is SUPER ambigous with it. Essentially, this was a waste of time.

Well, they left it ambiguous.
But if you look at their positions.

at back

[Fate] [Negi]

at front

[Asuna] [Inchou]

I am assuming Inchou (Ayaka) got married to Negi, as I don't like Asuna. And to their positions, this is the conclusion I could make. It also says that she stays on the side behind Negi.

Can't wait for the next work, Akamatsu-sensei!
