| This was without a doubt my favorite episode so far. I feel bad for saying this because I usually love any anime I watch and I know it's super popular and I usually end up loving all the popular series but there was just something about this show that never clicked with me. I've never dropped a series but I was so tempted to drop this series. The ending episodes are usually best and hopefully the rest of the episodes are like this one. I did really enjoy this one. The only thing I didn't like is the way yoko looks. I think it's something about her face. I think she looks like a dude. Which is weird because I always thought she was pretty cute. I'm not sure what they changed about her face but I do not like it at all. She's so cool though. |

| Yeah, they ruined Yoko's character alright. For one, when she went back into her normal clothes, it didn't even look like she aged at all after 7 years... welp. Her backstory is also kinda lame tbh.. She became a teacher at some random island.. I mean couldn't she have became a teacher at Kamina city? or is it that she just can't deal with civilization whatsoever.. Anywho, I can't help but think that someone's gonna die, whether it'd be soon or in the finale.. I mean Kamina died, so technically I don't think anyone is safe either.. Welp, hopefully it's not Yoko or Simon. |

| Eh ... not a fan of the first half, Yoko being a teacher and what not. Viral and Simon are a great combo, Viral has experienced so much since the beginning and I've really started to like him. Time to punch that moon to another dimension. |

| I really am not sure how to rate this. I hated the first half of the show, while important in character and world building I found it extremely boring and irritating to watch. The dialogue. The dialogue was the worst. This was probably the first time "Who the hell do you think I am!" gave me goosebumps. The heroes return! Other times I was mentally rolling my eyes. I much prefer the post Kamina City episodes, it's just getting more and more epic. Gainax is certainly creative, but this has played out in their other series like Contrary to other people who enjoy the 'mindless' shounen yelling and action in the first half. |

| Was nice to see what Yoko did in the mean time, this made up for the lack of her in the previous episodes. That end was soo epic, "Who the fuck do you think we are ? " Simon and Viral joining forces = WIN |

| Half an episode to focus on Yoko was good for knowing more about her character. She's a nice role model and a hot teacher but seeing her don her signature flaming attire and owning those two giant gunmen was spectacular~ Of course, if you get out of the planet that was the only Spiral territory thousands of kilometers away, you have to deal with the Anti-Spirals all over you lol Simon's reunion with Dai Gurren and Boota's reunion with Yoko's breasts was touching. Seeing Simon and Viral combine their hot-blooded spirits and delivering the drill that pierced the heavens to the enemy with such awesomeness made me rack up my score to a 9! |

The entire Spiral King War, the conflict that freed humanity only seven years ago, was centered around mechas that responded to emotion, and Rossiu is surprised that the space-faring battleship of the Spiral King himself would respond in the same manner.
