2011 saw the return of Ikuhara and 2012 sees the return of Watanabe. I wonder if any other famous directors will make their return to anime soon. Anyways, the only foreseeable problem is the story/genre. The staff looks solid and Yoko Kanno doing a jazz soundtrack means this anime will very likely have the best music of the year. |

Oh hell yeah. Shinichiro Watanabe and Yoko Kanno doing an anime together. I'm so looking forward to this once it comes out. |

Nachotee said: Fuck, the trailer looks quite nice. And then I saw noitaminA ;_; No wonder I got that "This seems good but I have a feeling it will be shitty" vibe. Seriously! Honey and Clover, Nodame Cantabile, Tatami Galaxy, AnoHana, Mononoke, Eden of the East, Kuchuu Buranko, House of Five Leaves, Wandering Son, Usagi Drop - awful, awful shows. Anyway, Watanabe's back?! Yeah, I'd say that's cause to celebrate. =) And won't it be airing alongside Nakamura's new title? If so, Spring 2012 may just be the best noitaminA block since Tatami Galaxy and House of Five Leaves. |

Let's take a look at only noitaminA's 2011 titles, shall we? Above average: Anohana, Wandering Son, Usagi Drop Average or below average: Fractale, C, Guilty Crown, Un-Go, No.6, Thermae Romae, Black Rock Shooter Now do you understand his concern? noitaminA has been getting worse since 2011. BRS hasn't even aired yet and you are commenting on it's quality? Also Thermae Romae is amazingly hilarious. ![]() |

Each of those shows were unique and offered something fresh to the anime world. Especially "Eden of the east" that show alone made me raise me standards of what I saw as quality anime. |

HOLY GOD FUCK YES FINALLY Also, noitaminA =/= creates the shows aired on it. That has to do with people making bad shows, not so much that noitaminA airs bad shows. (◕ᴥ◕し) Hello! Did you know? Barnacles have the largest penis to body size ratio of the animal kingdom. |

.... Watanabe Shinichiro... Yoko Kanno... together, once again, working on a project. I never thought I'd have a practical use for this magnificent image I "borrowed" from someones blog but... Bored and looking for something to read? Drop by The Ward where you come to get your boredom cured. |

Either way, it's undeniable that 2011 was noitaminA's worst year yet. I hope they turn around and go back to their roots. |

I hope they turn around and go back to their roots. Regardless, as has been said, noitaminA is a time slot not a studio, and the people who are working on this are people with undeniable talent who would have to work hard to make something awful. Not saying that it is outside the realm of logical thought for this to be bad... but they'd have to be working at it. Not to mention josei anime are almost always amazing, and noitaminA's are no exception. Nodame, Kuragehime, Usagi Drop... Iunno I think this has enough potential to at least warrant the benefit of the doubt. You can scream at me in April if it sucks. Modified by AOMlNE, 01-26-12, 10:45 PM ![]() |
