Not bad. Next week we'll see last of the autumn titles(except of Fate/Zero and Gundam Age)

Phi-Brain has twice lower pre-orders. And the thing that vol. 1 had ~1k sales so it's really going up even if it doesn't mean much.

phi-brain was produced by Sunrise so low sales might not hurt them that bad (they even announced 2nd Season for it) since they have another money machines like Gundam UC, Tiger & Bunny and the newest is Horizon

But Chihayafuru was produced by Madhouse (Haven't seen them doing well in term of sales lately) so idk, bankruptcy soon? =(

Yeah, there's no way 2.3k is making a profit. Chihayafuru is too nicely animated for that to be possible. However, as long as it is moving a lot more of the manga, that's all that matters, and thus anime pays for itself that way. I can almost guarantee you nobody bankrolling the Chihayafuru anime ever bet on getting significant anime disc sales.


I wish. They waited too long, and Shana is already mostly dead as a franchise. Despite the third season just being mindblowingly good, way better than the first two (which were also good).


Sales don't matter for Phi Brain either (apparently...). Also, it's not really accurate to say v1 has 1k. What v1 had was about 900 DVDs, and an unknown number of BDs (2037 or less that week). So it's not that v1 only sold ~900, it's that we don't have the data. There's little doubt that v1 sold at least a few hundred more than v2 though. We know DVDs sold more for v1 so one can assume BDs dropped somewhat as well.

Dunno, imo the third season is just a nonsensical crap all the way. Can't say I loved the first two much, but they were at least of above average-to-good quality. But this one is just like, fight-fight-fight with incoherent story and almost no meaningful character interaction and development. But maybe it feels this way because it's been a long time since the previous season indeed. :/

I question if we're even watching the same show, because I find every one of these points to be utterly the opposite of what I'm seeing.

Few surprises didn't expect shana sales to be that low but it has been 3 years since the second season could be expected. Ben-to, Kimi to Boku, and Chihayafuru aren't doing well as I thought they should be as well as Mirai Nikki especially.

Looks like one can expect a second season of Haganai on the way with these sales? :D~?

At least Chihayafuru is IN the list this time.

Unicorn is still in the top 6 for DVD, but is gone completely from blu-ray. I could've sworn it was ranked number 3 last time this was done lol.
