According to Nikkan Sports, NHK has announced a new TV anime series "Ginga e Kick-off!!". It's based on Kawabata Hiroto's novel "Gunga no World Cup" and the first episode will be aired on April 7th. The protagonist is a boy who had belonged to a football club, which was dissolved due to the lack of members. He meets a professional player of the women's football league and decides to reorganize the club. It's called Eyeshield 21 and sadly the anime does kind of suck *due to the best character having to be watered down to extremes and a large chunk of the story having to be removed due to it having gambling* The manga however is fantastic, and that's why I stormed into this thread all excited... soccer's fine too but ; ~ ; ![]() |

No no, football is the word Americans think they made up themselves, but actually stole from the Brittish, because they wanted another word for their special form of Rugby, but when they couldn't come up with a nice name themselves, they just took football and hoped no one would notice it. |
