This Lupin really stands out from all the others because of one thing.
Of course it has to be the loveliness of Fujiko.
The bathing scene was absolutely scrumptious with the water and bubbles slowly dissipating and at the last moment she jumps and lifts herself with only one hand, still covering her innocence.

Absolute perfection.

This one is awful. The plot progression is clunky and without any interesting things happening and it can't even do that without three or four exposition-dumping scenes. There are no memorable characters unique to this story. Zenigata has lots of screentime only to ultimately do next to nothing.

It's very odd how it tries to play Terry's true identity as a surprise but established him as a less than a morally impeccable guy from the get-go by having him steal money from the casino ship and this doesn't even make any sense; in light of his real position, this money is partly his anyway, so why would he even take it? There's no doubt left after the sequence where Terry offers very flimsy excuses for suddenly absenting himself after Zenigata told him where Lupin probably is (even including a suspicious glare from Zenigata), and the very next thing that happens is gangsters attacking Lupin's room.

Well, that was the second fake Loch Ness Monster-looking contraption so far in the franchise, not counting the actual flesh and blood Loch Ness Monser of course. That and the theme played in the beginning really played on my 2 months of nostalgia!

This was my first experience with Lupin III in digital animation, it threw me off for a moment but I quickly adjusted and it was enjoyable to return to the more familiar potentially more colorful animation style I am accustomed to, despite the charm of cel animation.

Also, the first real lack of a one-shot heroine so far, not counting Goemon's treacherous girlfriend who had maybe 5 minutes of screen time total.

If it's beautiful woman don't trust her, good advice Jigen xD

In 2019 hidden tunnels found below Alcatraz
Does this mean Lupin just predicted something in future? :P

Pretty enjoyable movie, I like the way they handle relationship between Lupin and Zenigata
I always love their relationship
Also I always forget Zenigata is immortal as long Lupin is still on the loose xD

This one's pretty roughly good but not the quite solid..

Positively this special does many things that manages to standout than most of other previous specials and thus makes another worthwhile special addition. I like the story borrowed element with the past event reminds me of one of part ii episode but not done in crazy way.

I really liked the non-digital animation tbh. There were few awkward floppy animations though. Surprisingly almost all of the soundtracks were entirely new.

Despite enough long lengthy episode, still wished many of the executions could done way better. The villain concept was cool but mostly ends up onenote like the Goemon and Fujiko's character on this special. On the other hand this is one of episode where Zenigata played great role.

I love the opening sequence of this one, with the heist in the cruise ship casino. I love the song. It was a good special, Zenigata's presence was prominent, and this time his partner was the main villain. Goemon's epiphany of "you need money to live" was nice, but it's a pity that it was just for Suzan who was only using him. Jigen also had a meeting with a known face, and he killed two of the Secret Seven. The whole thing with Alcatraz and the Kennedy brothers gave a nice historical side to this one too. And it's somewhat baffling, but I guess that somewhat true to his character, that Lupin went after that buried truth only to get laid though. lol

The first Lupin special to be made with digital animation ends up being a bad one, ironic.
