While I strongly agree with the point made on Goten/Trunks and GT, I find it silly to compare a character like Lelouch with the cardboard cutout that is Goku. Mecha fights aside, Code Geass was a series that was completely character driven. Enjoyment of it came from Lelouch's actions, motives (until R2 ruined it) and how he would act when all the lies finally caught with him. The character of Lelouch is what made the series what it is.

Dragonball on the other hand, is the complete opposite. And while you could argue Dragonball is supposed to be about the fight sequences and action, the fact remains that Goku is dull and flat. One could argue he has no personality, whatsoever and that he simply saves people because he's a "good guy." This is even emphasized after the cell saga, when Gohan becomes the temporary lead character, and the show simply goes on like business as usual.

So no, Code Geass really won't be the same without him (not to say it couldn't be better with a new main character, but it just wouldn't feel right). Although, I think we can all agree that the fact that they're naming this series after Code Geass, rather than something new, is just to milk the franchise some more.

And yes, nothing better than a funky Jazz piece to get you excited for a fight sequence...

CGI in Code Geass. That's just silly.
After seeing the PV, some of my hopes and expectations have been shattered. I'm kinda worried about this.

The director is pretty successful, he's made great shows. So I feel like the show is in good hands. Also lol at people complaining about CGI. Huur!!! the anime is bound to be terrible because of CGI!!!. All anime is going to this, get over it, it can still look beautiful.

the music was a turn off, aha hope there's better music in the ost that comes with this series :)

Its when Lelouch gets his geass and forms the Black Knights except in the European battlefront with Akito as the main character.

The music in the trailer was merely an example of experimental jazz, which is a style that has existed for a long time and does have its fans.

I would say it's not horrible, just not mainstream. In any case, the music will be better used during the anime itself and the same composer did the soundtrack for RahXephon, which had excellent music despite also experimenting a bit. I like composers who dare to take risks.

Gawd, or the "fans" of Bakemonogatari not liking Nisemonogatari because it didn't meet their expectations...

Well I can just hope the series is better than the PV. D: I did like the look of the Knightmares in the original a lot more... And that music... :p Cowboy Bebop indeed.
