Yeah, must admit it was such a nice episode x3
Really interesting to learn more about Tachibana too! I had tears in my eyes at the part with his mother T^T

And the traiteur idea is... interesting, although I have never in my life seen a patisserie branch out as a traiteur xD Doesn't mean they can't, but don't say it's usual for the french to do it... lol *is a really bad sucker for cultural details*

I thought only winter anime had Xmas episodes... it was a bit off-season, maybe that's why I didn't enjoy it as much as the others. Tachibana was a great Santa though, I'd like him to bring me cake on Xmas Eve =D

Lol this was pretty funny xmas themed, at least this series can also focus on something else than the shounen-ai stuff.

That was a really nice Christmas episode! I always love Christmas episodes, they are my favourite <3

Yeah, it was funny how only the drunk adults were excited to see Santa and one child.

Was it ever mentioned prior to this that Kanda didn't have parents and grew up poor? I actually hope it wasn't, as this made for a really great little moment towards the end. Tachibana's past seemed a bit shoehorned as it didn't feel like it effected him much as an adult. At least, not until this episode. His goofy demeanor is resultant from him trying to not make others around him worry or pity him, which makes complete sense. Rather than the kidnapping itself giving him trauma, it was the aftereffects of everyone treating him differently.

Also, Kanda offhandedly mentioning his past to get Tachibana out of his rut was something I extremely appreciated. In any other show, anime or not, this would have been a derailed moment going off on Tachibana's history too, or it would have needed a flashback episode prior to setup for this conversation. With this quick mention though, we, as the audience, immediately get the picture and can quickly move on with the rest of the scene. That, and in Tachibana's eyes, he wouldn't have known about Kanda's past, so any flashbacks would solely be to spoonfeed the audience. Any anime can pull off big moments, but when an anime can pull off the smallest moments like this, it gets a lot of respect out of me.
