According to the official website, an unaired episode of Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai! will be released on the fifth volume of the Blu-ray on July 11th. The length of the series is 12 episodes plus one unaired episode.

According to the official website, each of the six Blu-ray volumes of Amagami SS+ plus will carry a short extra anime. The first volume will be released on April 4th.

Crunchy has Papakiki at 26... they own the streaming rights, so they'd likely know how long it is. It might just be split cour, though.

It was also reported on some TV broadcast schedules at 26 quite a while ago, although this really is a very 1-cour looking release. I do have to assume split cour as well. Hmm.


I assume they would already have announced it as such if they were going to, though. I can't see them releasing a boxset and the singles they've already announced.

I thought PapaKiki was going to be a 26 episode series. I guess maybe it will be split cour but I don't know. Though it doesn't really seem like a show that would be 26 episodes IMO.

I found some more information that might point to it being split cour. Every other anime airing this season on Crunchy that has an episode count announced also has an ending date... the only one that doesn't is Listen to me Girls.

I don't see why this couldn't work as a 2-cour anime, subject matter shouldn't be an indication of length.

I don't think it's so much a matter of "should" or "shouldn't" so much as a question of expectations set by past experience. There is indeed no reason why this "shouldn't" be 2 cour. It's just somewhat uncommon for this kind of show to be more than one cour.

I mean, if I end up liking it, then all the better that it's two cour. No complaints from me. Just saying it wasn't a bet very many people would have put money on if you'd asked before we knew, that's all.

Oh how very surprising. More dvd/db extras. Sigh, I wish we had DB structured like anidb with all specials, extras and other stuff in one entry with the main series. And not cluttered search and list...

They'd have to change a few other things to make that work. I really wouldn't want a show sitting in my Currently Watching for 6-9 months after it finishes while I wait for that final BD bonus episode to come out. Or to be unable to mark it "Complete" if I skip the bonus ep.
