i think that Chihaya will lose on the next week... someone told that they would be rivals in karuta and in love... i really thought that the queen looked like the female version of Arata, somehow.. x-x

i want arata to appear... but i dont want him to be a hero or something like that.. i just wanted that they met for a second or two... like.. she was leaving the tournment and he would appear and calling 'Chihaya!' .. something like that.. but i guess not, lol xD

can't wait for next week!! :3

Does defeating the queen and wining the individual tournament make Chihaya the new queen? If not I don't think there's a problem for her to win against Shinobu although like everyone else here I don't think she will win.

mmm I don't know how it's going to end lol but i don't want Chihaya to lose after the second rounds...
We just need Arata to show up...XD

I want Chihaya to win... I think later on they're going to be great friends. XD

I was so excited for Chihaya that it was scary. T_T

nope too

Please put the "nope" under the spoiler tag too. I'm sure I'm not the only one who wishes to be told nothing about what's going to happen in a series.

I think the Queen title is decided by a separate challenge match or something, this tournament has nothing to do with it. The problem with Chihaya winning this match is that Shinobu is so completely out of her league at this point, for her to win now would be ridiculous.

Loved the episode, good to see Chihaya bounce back as usual. Don't know if she'll take any more cards, but she's certainly got her opponent's attention. Shinobu seems like an extremely competitive person.

Funny. I thought the episode just became available yet there's already three pages of comments here. I was about to post a comment during the OP but as I couldn't write fast enough, I had to postpone it since I got hooked once the show started again.

Although the episode's focus was elsewhere, I enjoyed Taichi's thoughts before the tournament began. A players don't play against B players. And of course, he thinks about Arata and Chihaya.

But there was some good, tense drama in this episode and it's nice to see her competing again after the long break and the previous episode's debacle. Chihaya needs to develop some techniques for clearing her mind before the match. Otherwise she'll always have to come back in every match against high level opponents.

Regarding all the talk of the 'Queen'... it made me smirk as all I could think of was the Beelzebub episode in which Furuichi was running around the school crying out 'Queen!' as they searched for Kunieda.

FUUUUUUU
That ending!
Well, Chihaya probably won't win, but at least she took more than one card.
I guess the Queen got nothing on Arata cause he only lost one card. Ho - ho -ho.

I thought Taichi was thinking about the whole A class vs B class thing was because he was afraid of playing against Arata

So much suspense. Well, even if she doesn't win she still proved that she has the potential to surpass the queen. 7 days...GAH!

I can't get enough of this series, I eagerly await each episode every week!
And...my expectations are always soo extremely high each week, and it really delivers EVERY WEEK, for 14 weeks. It's definitely slowly becoming one of my top favourite series of all time.

This episode, i was particularly on the edge of my seat (for obv reasons). It was focused on Chihaya, and really she is an awesome character no matter how naive she is. It's always interesting to see what she'll do next.

I loved the little quirks of this episode. HAHA! The Tshirts and Chihaya standing. :)

Can't wait for the next episode! Continues from where we left off?

Great episode.

I don't like the 'too much pressure all I do is faint' side of Chihaya, like what we saw in the last episode.
I want Chihaya to be fierce so i'm glad that she's slowly getting her game back on.

Eh not really important but I want to say that I like the Queen's eyes. Girl is intense.

You're gonna make me re-watch the season now. But I thought that he got over those anxieties a few episodes ago, once he acknowledged to himself that he needs to win using his own talents, and that he's able to when he plays his own game.

I think he's more depressed that he can't fulfill the 'next time' challenge/comment from Arata. Perhaps both Arata and Taichi are waiting for something to happen before they can pursue Chihaya. The way he was gazing at Chihaya when she was warming up -- he couldn't take his eyes off her -- I'm sure that it's weighing on him. I wonder if some Class B players can progress to Class A by doing well in this tournament.

Maybe it's fitting for an anime with this subject matter, but the way the story is told, with all the flashbacks, it tests my memory.

I really thought at first that the Queen resembles Arata but then, in the middle of the game I realized how different she is. Arata is much kinder in facing his opponents in a way that he doesn't think of something like "How much will he/she last?"

I think she really highly regards herself wherein Arata is much more like Chihaya in the aspect that he plays karuta straightforwardly.

Regarding this episode, I really like the aspect where Chihaya finally managed to take two cards. It was really frustrating watching her getting beat up because her opponent has a lightning speed ability to take cards while it was clearly shown that Chihaya knows what card to take beforehand.

Like everyone else said, I also think Chihaya would lose this time.
Just thinking about it makes me depressed but I guess, this will also be her major step to improvement. (I'm not too thrilled with the idea of love quadrangle between Taichi - Chihaya - Arata - Queen. )

Arata would make the current Queen cry her eyes out.

So she probably wont be facing him anytime in the remaining 11 episodes we have. But I liked the Queen, since she has attitude like a Queen.

The final five minutes of the anime was great when Chihaya started to make a comeback. My heart jumped when she took the second card in a row. Ironically, thats where the episode ended. T_T

Now will have to wait for a whole week again. Watching great shows week in week out is torturing. T_T
