| According to Otona Anime magazine vol.23, Nisemonogatari was announced to be 11 episodes long. Director Shinbo Akiyuki intended to reproduce the high pace of the conversation of the characters in the novel with the relatively short length of the series. Shinbo also said he wanted to animate all the Monogatari novels and catch up with the newly published Koimonogatari. There have been twelve Monogatari novels published so far and the whole series will be concluded by the next three volumes: Tsukimonogatari, Owarimonogatari, and Zoku Owarimonogatari, to be released this year. | 11 episodes isn't such a big deal. I thought it was going to be 12 episodes, so 1 less isn't going to hurt. Plus, he's saying he wants to animate more of the novels. If anything, this is good news. |
| I guess it's good that they want to keep it short and sweet but hopefully they don't leave out anything that would be awesome if animated... atleast they want to animate everything ^^ Monogatari is awesome..... wait...if MAL says that it was originally around 13 episodes...that means we just lost out on 2 episodes of content......Kizumonogatari better be coming out summer-fall season then >.> |
