Just marathoned the first three seasons over a week or so (had to take breaks for the multitude of this season's shows I'm following). This was a fantastic fast start to the season! I hope the cliff-hanger is resolved quickly enough that Natsume will be able to watch the meteors with Taki and his friends. In my next life I want to collide at the corner with the cute transfer student carrying a piece of toast in her mouth......rodac Must...not...feed...trolls.... |

So they started off with a bang with the Matoba clan right off the bat! The OP isn't as good as season 3 but I like the ED. |

Good start. I like how, unlike previous seasons, they're jumping right into the plot.  |

Wow, starting from the real plot! I prefer the endings/openings of previous seasons over this. But the ending is nice. 5/5 |

Deus ex machina, coincidence based writing and lame cliches? Doesn't feel like Natsume at all. It's good that the author is developing the series wider but this episode was far from impressive, unlike pretty much every episode from 3rd season. Hopefully the next ones surpass this.      |

Wow first time where the first episode isn't episodic! And it has to do with Matoba...grr, that guy. I was expecting the season to start with a lighthearted or touching episode as usual with this franchise, but no. It's a nice surprise, really :)  |
