| This episode... that was something amazing I love how pitiful Madao is. He's fallen so low he doesn't care if he's having a bromance with Gintoki. And he used to have a wife. xD Hasegawa is the #1 best underdog character. |

Somehow, I expected something different xD I really thought that it was just Gintoki being Gintoki again. Man, that was an elaborated trap. And that face at the end... Priceless. |

I've got to say, although I thought the first half was funny, when the revelation came that they were all trolling him to get him to stop drinking it went from funny to incredibly sad IMO. Yes, Gintoki has a drinking problem and yes it's great that the cast stages an "intervention" for him but this is the only time in the series I think things went way too far. The man was mentally and physically abused for weeks and endured a lot of grief over actions he was manipulated into believing he did. The worst part is that the person he DID do wasn't even a woman; rather he was a dirty bum. Not that I'm particularly against yaoi or anything but all that that revelation does is add insult to Gin's (already huge) injury and leads him to start drinking harder than before. Hell, the cast even tapes it and laughs at him after his heartfelt wish to set things right. What kind of friends are these?! Are these seriously the precious friends that Gin would gladly risk his life to protect? I started the episode grinning wildly and waiting to see how it would end, but now whenever I think of this episode all that comes to mind is some disgust for the cast and pity for poor old Gintoki. I wonder what sort of revenge Gin is plotting... You summarised my feelings exactly. They really went way too far. Had it stopped at the failed date I'd be able to laugh at Gintoki's misfortunes. But tying him up for 2 weeks, threatening castration, manipulating him to feel extremely guilty, and loudly mocking him behind his back just so they could get back at him for 1 night of drunkenness? That's just downright fucking cruel. I expected more out of these characters, some of whom I had really liked. It just feels really out of character. I won't let one poor ending spoil my enjoyment of this show. Like Gintoki, I'll try to forget that any of this happened. |
 DAT FACE. Best Comedy arc in the series. Beating this is impossible. Honestly though, I was wondering what was up with the part in the OP where all the women and Hasegawa stood behind Gintoki in the elevator. Now I get it. Still, in the end I felt so sorry for Gin-san, poor bastard got duped by all of them. Although, it was still funny as all hell. |

No, he doesn't. His "drinking problem" is something sporadic that the series never deals with seriously, you could say that it only exists for this arc. It's funny that you blame this for making things go way too far when just 10 episodes ago in this same season we had an entire arc devoted to portray several characters as pathetic loners who project their love frustrations to virtual girlfriends. Or the physical abuse to Kondo in several episodes including the Hedoro family one. Or the amount of times Hasegawa has been portrayed as a pathetic and worthless individual (even you called him "a dirty bum" :P). I don't know if for some other reason (excessive focus on physical jokes?) the comedy of this arc went too far for you but this is not an exception in a series with a lot of sadistic comedy and there have been characters who got it much worse. Humiliation is a constant here and I think it's great that the MC doesn't make an exception. |

| All those girls lying about Gintoki. Them threatening Gintoki was funny too! The whole string controlling part was hilarious. Mouth-to-crotch! That f*cking reveal though! They are right, Gintoki made the best face ever!!! Then Hasegawa-san became waifu material! Greatest arc ever in mankind history!! ∞^∞/5 |

| Oh my god. Greatest 2-episode Gintama arc of ALL-TIME. Gintoki has got some baaaaaaaad man moves. This was everything that I could have ever wished for and more. That troll face at the end was just pure magic (in addition to the Hasegawa "special"). |

| Omg these 2 episdes were so good. I can't describe it in words. I felt so sorry for Gin and then it turned out to be a super big prank xD I think if Hasegawa would had said this at the end to me I also would have began to drink again :P 10/5 !!! |

| You can never really predict the outcome with Gintama, I had thought it was all a set up and nothing actually happened, but no, one of them actually, it actually happened with Hasegawa, it's so absurd it's funny, laughed so hard at that bit. I wonder if Gintoki will get revenge though. |

| One of the best comedy episodes. -Warlord bragging -Chris Matsamura evolution -Tsukuyo having a picture of doll Gin -Hemorrhoids compliment -Gin got pranked, his face and the reaction of the others -He and Madao did it for real xD So much greatness,wouldn't have minded to see more of this arc. |
