I'm just on the look out for a new anime series.

Seriously, I do not see the need for a new Kenshin manga as it ended well and happily, I would hate to see our characters thrown into something that will ruin their nice little ending.

However, that being said, if the series isn't about Kenshin and it's a side character or something, I'll be ticked. While I prefer the ending remain the way it was, I am and will always be a Kenshin fan and part of me looks forward to seeing him in action again.

I'll be reading.

Well, I guess you can make a sequel, I just don't really see a point in it. Yes, Kenshin was really popular back then, but it has a nice ending and it's been so many years since Kenshin was finished, so why another manga (possibly a sequel) now? o.O

It reminds me of the latest OVA: a new Kenshin anime was announced, everyone was hoping for a new TV-series and in the end it was just yet another OVA. XD Talking about a bummer, I can totally see that comming here with the manga as well.

I'm ridiculously happy, but slightly wary. Kenshin was absolutely brilliant as it was, and I trust Watsuki enough to know not to ruin the masterpiece that he created.

But yeah, what could it be about though? A sequel might be forcing it. A prequel - we practically know all of Kenshin's past. Side stories? If it's not about Kenshin it shouldn't be called Kenshin anymore. AU Kenshin? That's just silly. Oh I don't know. Please make it awesome, Watsuki.

I don't even. I'm not going to expect much out of this since the new anime turned out to be a letdown.

Hopefully, it won't ruin Rurouni Kenshin's reputation.
I'll still read it, though.

Busou Renkin isn't that bad, but pales in comparison with Kenshin.

I love RK, I really do, but what is the point with a sequel? It's been twelve years since the manga ended, and that ending was good enough. I wish that Watsuki could make a new manga instead...

says in the scan that it's going to be a reboot. agree with the question raised earlier; will it still be done by Watsuki-sensei?

Yeah same. Author probably wants the success of Rurouni Kenshin again. Whether that's out of financial necessity or mere greed has yet to be seen.

This manga defined my childhood, and I loved the happy ending; I can't bear to see their peace get ripped apart.

Maybe it'll be like Shonan 14 Days - being never before seen story at time of the main story.

Or maybe it'll take place before present, but after Remembrance arc.

Yeah, I don't like the idea of screwing with the really well done ending of the manga. But, we'll see.

It would be nice if the new manga was about young Kenshin during the Bakumatsu and have plenty of Shinsengumi action and Kenshin vs. Saitou, but I'm not going get my hopes up on it.

They didn't tell us anything besides a scan showing the main character of the original series, that died so I don't know wtf he is on it.

I still need to watch and read the anime and manga of Rurouni Kenshin but I recently found out the main character himura kenshin dies, and that pracitactally ruins the whole series for me, watching 100 episodes 5 ovas and you know the whole time that guy is going to die.

No. Just no! For the millionth time, the Reflections OVA is NOT CANON! Kenshin does not die at the end of the series, according to the manga. He lives "happily ever after," if you want to call it that.

This manga though...I'm wonder what it's going to be about. The author damn well better remain the same. As much as I love RK, I just want to leave the original story untouched. This new manga - if it must exist - should revolve around Kenji, Sano's adventures after the manga ended or even Soujiro as he wanders all over Japan. I'd enjoy each of those.

Honestly though, instead of adapting the Jinchuu ark, they decide to have this.
