it wasnt otu expectations, it just loli ecchi is the lowest of the low, its disgusting. i had no expectations and i still thought this was disappointing.

it wasn't the bloody, gory, sadistic anime we all loved.
but i definitely love all, or most, of the characters. and i generally like higurashi's funny side as well!
the OVA wasn't amazing, but i'm glad it was here.

I don't care what anyone says but I LOVED this episode. Damn, what a great way to end the series.

The real ending to the Higurashi series was at the end of Kai.

These OVAs are just to milk the series with episodes that really have nothing to do with the main story.

Although I will admit that this episode was kinda nice.

I hope Studio Deen just stops making these OVAs though....they're NOT good and there's no reason to make anymore Higurashi.

The story is finished, there's really nothing more (that's important) to tell.

God damn those hamster cheeks are unsettling. Uncanny Valley of kyutness. I did get a laugh out of Hanyuu's forced singing though.

This was awful, I mean when Hanyuu offered to let chibi Rika stay in the happy world rather than going through all the bad stuff she is meant to I almost face desked.
Not only would doing this kill Hanyuu, but without Rika the entire village would die creating a time paradox which will kill EVERYONE.
Not just that but the scene created a plothole in the fact that the entire POINT of the 4th episode of Rei is that the world is a better place because of what Rika went through, I wouldnt mind BUT IT WAS HANYUU WHO WAS TELLING RIKA THIS!!!
Seriously I hated this episode.

2 of 10 for the series since I honestly didnt mind episode 3.

I don't know. I really liked this episode, although there was certainly already closure before. Although this basically does outright say that even though Rika likes to mess with Hanyuu, they're definitely friends that comfort each other, with the crap they've had to deal with, which I thought was adorable and closed things up nicely.

But, did we really need this? Even Rei wasn't really necessary. There was enough closure with the last episode of Kai.

Meh, I'm generous. I'll give Kira 4/10, if only for this last episode. Episode 1 was godawful, and 2 and 3 were mediocre at best. I know it's popular, amidst the QUALITY I still think Higurashi and Kai were just amazing, but this is indeed just milking the series. Please, Deen, no more.

If they had to do Kira, It should of just been a one episode OVA with this being the episode tbh (either that or an adaptation of Onisarashi-hen but that's pretty clearly not happening)

I guess I'm the only one here who enjoyed Kira. XD I think it was rather good as a PARODY (imo people take it too seriously). Even though I dislike faservice I think that the first episode was very funny. The second and third too but I found the last one VERY boring. I mean, it had no point and the whole episode could be finished in 5 minutes. And I didn't understand what was with Rika asking the chibi Rika to stay. I mean, I get Hanyuu, but Rika? She of all people should understand how important it was for her to get back. Also, am I the only one who found this episode to be rather Rika/Hanyuu shippy? :-D
I give this 6/10 for the last episode and for the fact that they could have made it Higurashi style not parody on Higurashi.

I'm just glad that they separate this from the main series. imagine if this was on Kai... the fan base would explode more heavily than it already is.

This was a different and welcomed take. just don't watch/buy the box sets if you really hated it.

I fast forwarded the 1st and the 2nd episodes, the third is fine, and then the last episode is quite good because I just love the bond Rika and Hanyuu have.

Because I'm such a nice fangirl, I give this 7/10

Well overall this season was nothing compared to Ni, Kai, or Rei. It was all fanservice were the characters are all cute, adorable, sweet, and boring!

Then watching this series was ok as well seeing as we won't know who will Keichii fall in love with and if Satoshi will ever get out of his sickness and if Rika and Hanyuu will grow up to be lesbians? But this show was great and fun.

That was beautiful :) I don't know why there's so much hate for this OVA, it just shows the characters we know and love in different situations. I, personally, love the humor in Higurashi so this was refreshing :D
