| Seriously, in all my life I've never seen a studio shitting all over a perfectly good franchise just for milking more otaku money. This series was just a disappointment under every angle. A pornographic video has more artistic value than this anime. 3/10 |

I get the feeling people fooled themselves into thinking this would be more of what made the original franchise so popular and ended up being seriously disappointed when it turned out not to be. Or maybe I should say, they couldn't adapt to the change that was happening before their eyes. I'll admit that I too watched it for the same reasons as the hardcore fans, but when it turned out to be something else, I cast off my expectations and decided to judge it at face value. And quite frankly, I think the vast majority of fans are making a much bigger deal out of this than (I think) they should. Either way, I enjoyed this little OVA series and I don't give a damn what others think of it. |

| i vote this the worst sequel yet to happen in anime. i didnt even like the oriignal higurashi's that much and this still felt like im being betrayed. ep 1- fap material for pedophiles and virgins, aka the worst of the worst ep 2 - repeat of ep 2 ep 3 - a comedy where not even a single joke is worth chuckling at cause the jojkes are either so horribly executed or have become so overused that its lost its little luster it had in the first place, only way youd find this funny is if you turned your common sense off ep 4 - was the best episode of this ova but its still unbearable, all this cutsy BS, like really what the hell is this. i couldnt care less if this wasnt gory or dark its just that this was so half assed this is only making an attempt to cater to the most stereotypical otoku, its not that "its like their not trying" it IS that they are not trying, face it people, this was made just to sucker what little luster the higurashi name alone still sells in order to make a quick buck off of chumps like you that will defend this crap, continue like the original 3 but dont even try to pretend like this was even remotely good. |

It's not missing anything; it's just plain fucking bad. Instead of adapting other arcs (like Onisarashi-hen), they go for god damn crappy ecchi. And it wasn't even hot. Damn them. |

| it wasn't the bloody, gory, sadistic anime we all loved. but i definitely love all, or most, of the characters. and i generally like higurashi's funny side as well! the OVA wasn't amazing, but i'm glad it was here. very cute! c: |

| Um... I was wondering what everyone meant by Rika having hamster cheeks.. now I know.. why couldn't they have drawn her regularly, just smaller with the blush stickers or whatever? Anyway... This ended on a good note. The ending seemed a little over the top, but I'm glad that it was. I'd hate to still be feeling like I want more out of this. On one more note: <----Awww! Hanyuu is even cuter than ever! Its a shame she hid her horns in her hair buns though. That was my favorite feature about her, aside from the laser-dot eyes she had formed only twice in the series. (and once in Kai's OP.) |

| I don't know. I really liked this episode, although there was certainly already closure before. Although this basically does outright say that even though Rika likes to mess with Hanyuu, they're definitely friends that comfort each other, with the crap they've had to deal with, which I thought was adorable and closed things up nicely. But, did we really need this? Even Rei wasn't really necessary. There was enough closure with the last episode of Kai. Meh, I'm generous. I'll give Kira 4/10, if only for this last episode. Episode 1 was godawful, and 2 and 3 were mediocre at best. I know it's popular, amidst the QUALITY I still think Higurashi and Kai were just amazing, but this is indeed just milking the series. Please, Deen, no more. |

| I guess I'm the only one here who enjoyed Kira. XD I think it was rather good as a PARODY (imo people take it too seriously). Even though I dislike faservice I think that the first episode was very funny. The second and third too but I found the last one VERY boring. I mean, it had no point and the whole episode could be finished in 5 minutes. And I didn't understand what was with Rika asking the chibi Rika to stay. I mean, I get Hanyuu, but Rika? She of all people should understand how important it was for her to get back. Also, am I the only one who found this episode to be rather Rika/Hanyuu shippy? :-D I give this 6/10 for the last episode and for the fact that they could have made it Higurashi style not parody on Higurashi. |

| too effing cute! I'm just glad that they separate this from the main series. imagine if this was on Kai... the fan base would explode more heavily than it already is. This was a different and welcomed take. just don't watch/buy the box sets if you really hated it. |

| I fast forwarded the 1st and the 2nd episodes, the third is fine, and then the last episode is quite good because I just love the bond Rika and Hanyuu have. Because I'm such a nice fangirl, I give this 7/10 |

| Well overall this season was nothing compared to Ni, Kai, or Rei. It was all fanservice were the characters are all cute, adorable, sweet, and boring! Then watching this series was ok as well seeing as we won't know who will Keichii fall in love with and if Satoshi will ever get out of his sickness and if Rika and Hanyuu will grow up to be lesbians? But this show was great and fun. 4/5 Sayonara ~Nipaa! |
| That was beautiful :) I don't know why there's so much hate for this OVA, it just shows the characters we know and love in different situations. I, personally, love the humor in Higurashi so this was refreshing :D |

| This episode felt a bit out-of-place, but everyone except for Hanyuu seemed to be in character, which was a relief. Hanyuu felt OOC to me because she was so emotional. I know that she is pretty emotional normally, but this episode just overdid it. I didn't really care for the episode itself, but the art for Haminazawa was amazing. I never thought the junkyard that Rika hangs out in was that massive! Also, it was nice to see the characters roaming around Haminazawa's nature. I'd have to break this episode down into two scores: 10/10 for the atmosphere, and 3/10 for the story. At least it was better than episode 1 and 2. | I liked this OVA. It showed more of the fun side of Higurashi. Also it not like they could have added a new story-line. The story was wrapped by the end of season two. 9/10 since somethings did not seem like Higurashi style of fan-service. |

| Well, I'm not a fan of the previous 3... Especially the very first one... But I'm a huge fan of this episode! If this is a standalone 1 episode OVA/movie, it's an "easy" 8 out of me. Would've give this a 3 ~ 4 if it weren't for the last episode... For now, I'll settle at... 5 |

| Hanyuu was soooo cute. Also the double nipaa of both Rikas and Rena wanting to take Keiichi's "cucumber" home. Really liked this episode. |
