| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- They are awarded for winning! The opponent was very sad to let the trophy go. The family is caring more at the sister more than Chihaya's karuta. The teacher is more prior to tennis team. A male teacher is subbing their club. Seems like she doesn't actually approve it (and just entertainment). Chihaya is afraid of being the representative of Tokyo. So that opponent team gave Taichi the info. for how to win the All Japan tournament (helping out)! So their parents know about Chihaya's tournament from the newspaper and keep it in the memory book! She's back to energetic self now. The girl is having a hard time with memorizing the cards and wants to do it in her own way instead of Nikuman's way. The teacher is shocked at the kiai of the club, and touched by the girl's wanting to win. She's going to bring trophy to safe place, then is willing to bring them herself! Next ep. on January 3, 2012 (break on December 27, 2011). |

| It was funny when Chihaya was worried for Desktomu's 'low grades' only to find out he's still amongst the top of the class. "Fifth? I'm like fifth from the bottom." XD |

| Her sister Chitose got a bunch of albumes already and of course Chihaya would be happy to get the first album that her family made. It was a bit desperated to see Chihaya like that but she quickly recovered when she notice that they family care for Chihaya not only for her sister Chitose. :) Even the sensei was touch by Karuta and such a high passion of the game, unless Tennis is more a calm game :) That's mean she is even worster than Top 50, Chihaya is not a person that are good at study. :D Omi Jingu is bright red, well that's true. Looks like a nice places to hold a tournament. :) I do want to know if Arata going to join National or not, guess they just want to surprised us. Looking forward for it :) Next episode is National Championship. |

| Nice episode well still proves that Chihaya is not the brightest one... but this time she was at least kind of nice progress it is and Arata can't come, even if he loves Taichi he has a mission! he stands in that bookstore because it is his destiny, if he leaves that place universe will die! really - he is the center of Reality, so has to stand there till end of time forever separated from his beloved man |

| Awww, this episode was so sweet! I'm glad that the people around Chihaya are beginning to see how much karuta means to her, including her family and the sensei. I'm also glad that Chihaya is becoming more considerate and aware of her surroundings, especially during the scene when she was worried that Tsutomu was going to quit because of his dropping grades. XD Also, it seems pretty probable that Arata will make an appearance sometime during the tournament (I'm so excited!!), but it doesn't seem like he's joined any teams at this point... but we'll see! I wonder how Mizusawago will fare at the tournament. :) Also... two more weeks until the next episode?! No way! :( I don't know how I'm going to wait that long for more Chihayafuru!! |

| Great episode as always, I'm shipping Chihaya x Taichi relationships :">, they're so cute together, especially when Chihaya lost her confidence, there's always Taichi nearby to support her. 5/5 |

| Good episode,i was kinda sad see Chihaya depress as always but Taichi its awesome to bring up her spirit back together,to see that there family wasn't putting attention to Chihaya but it was nice to see his dad cares for both daughters alike. It was nice to see that the "Empress" watchhow serious Karuta is for them,that is not a game for them and get the same feeling and desire to win. tsubasalover said: Next ep. on January 3, 2012 (break on December 27, 2011). | The character development in this show is simply amazing. Even the supporting cast (the other three on the team) are really becoming more interesting. The only one we haven't seen progress is Arata because he has been off-screen for most of these episodes. I begin to dread his reappearance because I am afraid he may scoop Chihaya away from Taichi. Two weeks will be a long time to wait.... |

| I hope arata is saving up his part time job money to move back to tokyo.(if he does likes chihaya). definitely one of the best heartwarming anime out there. |

| Still not a believer in Chihaya x Taichi, though I don't even really want to consider Arata. I'd rather she just keep doing what she does best, whoopin in karuta. =P That said, awesome episode. Was nice to get a glimpse at Chihaya's family again, and the album thing was so dawwwww cute. |

| Such a sweet episode,I loved that moment when her Chihaya thought that she was not given much importance as compared to her sister but her father was also collecting her pictures & she became so emotional.So heartwarming. |

| Another amazing episode. I have to admit I cried when she found the scrapbook. Also, the last scene with the OP playing was really heartwarming. 5/5 for this week. Gonna miss it next week though. |
