i find it ironic that the series i about two mangaka trying to get an anime but it now has a third season of its anime "Throw away your logic and kick reason to the curb! Beautifully following the golden road! If there’s a wall, we knock it down! It’s a road built with these hands! The Magma of the Heart’s Final Ignition! Perfect Unification Gurren-Lagann!" |

I'm really not surprised to see this, this show will probably keep going, maybe even getting a 4th season if the 3rd does well. I will be watching. |

belatkuro said: Is this fetching some sales for JC Staff? I would think they would be placing their efforts on animating some of their money spinners like Index or Railgun. So is this doing well for them? Actually no. The sales are very poor: around 1500 each volume. I don't know why they would announce 3rd season already. Looks like you can't evaluate J.C. Staff with human logic. |

Hmm... I think it's a pretty nice show and I'll probably end up watching it anyway, but I think the 2nd season is getting kinda boring at the moment. |

@novurdim Probably the same reason why Pierrot made two seasons of Tegami Bachi and why most of shounen anime are made. It has high TV rating so main profit goes from non-direct sources such as rise of manga sales, commercials etc. |

So is this doing well for them? I mean, 3 seasons in 3 years. Even Shana took a long time to get a season 3, and ZnT for season 4. I have no problems though as Bakuman is good and there's plenty of material. Just wondering about it in terms of sales and looking at the time of release of the seasons. Bakuman 1st season sold like shit and 2nd season will sell like shit and to add TV ratings are not that good. So I am pretty surprised how we got 2nd season and now 3rd season is announced. Nevertheless, I like Bakuman anime and manga. I just wish that it'd sell more. And about Shana season 3rd. Well, since it took a long time to get 3rd season it has lost a lot of fans. Preorders for vol.1 are simply bad. Probably it won't even cross manabi line(3000). It's quite ironic, considering 1st season sold +10000copies so and clusterfuck 2nd season also sold +10000 copies while 3rd season is doing poorly... Verdict it isn't always a good idea to make fans wait for new season since it can lose its fandom like it happened with Shana. |

Anyway i will watch bakuman 3 , since i like the first season |

@azzyzx I agree, SnS III is really better in all ways. I hope though that the bad sells will not affect the amount effort the people at J.C. Staff will not decrease and result into a bad conclusion, but I don't think so. |
