| I'm caught up on whether to watch the Tv series or the movie of this. If I were to watch the movie instead of the first season would I be missing much? Also would it be a smooth transition into the second season after the movie or not? Just one thing that is putting me off watching the Tv series is the age of the anime, I don't really like watching action shows that are from pre-2007 and so the movie seems the better as it's newer. Any help would be appreciated :) |
| Well, it depends what you care about more, I suppose. The movie has better animation and action while the series has better character development. I'd say it's worth watching both, but if you are set on only watching one....then either would suffice. |

The series first to get the most of the character developement then the movie to see the vastly better animation along with some important facts that weren't in the original series (Testarossa family's past, Precia somewhat redeeming herself unlike in the series where she remains a villian, Fate's interaction with the crew at the end that puts a smile on your face). I watched the series then the movie. In the series, the spells were cool. But in the movie, the spells were INCREDIBLE with the new animation and slightly changing how the spells looked. The movie was more action based than the series. For the main topic, if you do like the Nanoha series then you must definitely watch both the movie and series. While watching the movie after finishing the series, I wasn't bored one bit even though the story was the same. Rather, I was more thrilled by the animation and visual changes of the characters and spells. |
