Yamamoto Kyousuke

With all participants having crossed the finish line, Kyousuke blew on his whistle, marking the end of the first competition. He then walked towards the students and congratulated them for their effort.

"Well done, everyone! I must say that I was rather impressed by all of your perfomances. However, no matter how spectacular you want to make the finish, it does count towards your final score."

He smiled and let his eyes wander.

"Now then, I have stopped all of your times individually and here are the results:"

Resuming his speech, Kyousuke turned towards the exhausted students once again.

"I have to say that I am impressed by your times. With this much effort, each of you could easily become a professional, so I give all of you my congratulations."

Kyouske made a small pause and muttered some words to himself. Too quiet to be noticed and only directed at himself.

"Judging from their performance they could even rival me...
I guess I have to continue training, so that they don't surpass me..."

Casting his eyes onto the participants once again, he spoke in a pleased tone.

"All of your results will be used for the rankings in which each individual student receives points based on his or her performance and the time. As I have said before, these rankings finally determine the ultimate result of your overall perfomance in all three competitions. However, be aware that your participation is not guaranteed, so it is advisable to sign up quickly. As for the team that crossed the finish line first..."

He then focused his attention to the winners of the first competition.

"Team Number 5. Inori Mizuki-san and Noboru Nozaki-kun.
In honour to your victory, both of you are ensured with a definite position in the next competition and also...
both of you will be awarded with a prize as a commendation to your performance."

Kyousuke presented four distinctive-looking bottles. They were "Replenishers"

"I am aware that these should be known to you. They are not easy to get, so use them wisely."

He handed two bottles for each of them and then picked up his megaphone again. Distancing himself from the students, he positioned himself in the middle of the field.

"Hereby the first competition has come to an end. Please be patients as we will announce the rankings shortly. Thank you for listening."

Returning to his stand at last, Kyousuke arranged a meeting with his fellow sport event committee members to discuss the rankings.

Shiroyuki Lacie

After seeing that she had only reached 4th place, Lacie was a bit sad by the revelation. She gave it her all, but it seemed that the other students were just too fast...

"And I even tried hard..."

After a while she realized that it had not point dwelling in the past and returned to her usual self again. She turned back to her partner, Francesco-san, and smiled.

"I guess we should try harder next time, don't you agree~
Let's congratulate the winners!"

Without waiting for a response she hurried to Mizuki and Noboru. Despite being exhausted a few moments ago, she had a fast recovery and would be fine if she rested. Waving her hands, she approched them and expressed her admiration.

"You guys were fast! How did you become like that? I want to win as well~"

Seth had heard about the prizes that one could win here, but to think that they would give away something as rare as replenishers? It was almost absurd. Seth turned to Eukina. "I'll go sign us up for the next event if that's alright. After that we can congradulate the winners."

Noboru Nozaki

Noboru relaxed as the results were announced. First place. Well, that seemed somewhat unexpected, but at the same time was glad with the result. Turning to Inori, he had a grin on his face. "See what happens when you try." He said calmly.

He then turned to Lacie who just congratulated them without really saying so. "I don't really think I'm that fast, I think it was more on pacing ourselves. Good luck to you in the next event."

She immediately accepted the award and kept them. She then tilted her head to Noboru. "See what happens when you try." He said calmly. "Yeah, yeah..." Seth Aosaki

Seth walked up to Yamamoto Kyousuke and signed Eukina and himself up for the next event. After that he went to one of the vending machines scattered throughout the schoolyard. He got a bottle of water for himself and one for Eukina. Seth was still supprised that someone was able to beat him and Eukina in the race, this school sure was supprising with it's students.

As he got back to Eukina he handed her the water, trying to hide his dissapointment in himself as best he could "We should go congradulate the winners."

When he said this he noticed that Eukina had tears in her eyes, could it be from the dust, or was she really that upset from losing?
