Yes, very sad news, and amazing to think the things he accomplished even later in his life. That should be inspiration for all of us to create new things in our own life.

Were it only for the anime adaptation or not, Yu-Gi-Oh!'s character designs were always very distinct. Huge loss for the anime industry.

RIP, Shingo.

Rest in Peace.

Cutey Honey and Rose and Versailles are classics, and the ridiculous hair in Yu-Gi-Oh was kind of cool in a cheesy way too.

My heart just dropped, I feel like I just lost a piece of my childhood;-;
It's always awful when a member of the anime/manga industry passes away, but its just all the worse when you've watched and loved their anime since you were a child.
It doesn't really feel real.
I wish his family the best, so close to Christmas...>':

RIP I really dig the the character designs in most of those shows, especially Majokko Megu-chan.
Looking at posts on the Internet wouldn't bother me so much if people didn't also mix up he and she.

Let us not reflect on his passing but on the work and influence he has left behind. It is quite unfortunate that Araki Shingo has passed away but let his efforts never be forgotten.
