I have to agree about Akagi. He kicked *ss even before the time skip. He was what, 13? I almost couldn't believe it. He is really awesome. That match against the old guy was amazing. I think anime and manga Monster should be added as well. Along with characters Tenma Kenzo and Lunge/Runge. I really don't want to go into spoiler-ish details as to why I think those two are real men. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks that way >.> Also, Heat Guy J. it's not very popular for some reason. J was like the essence of a real man. His speeches are so epic ;O and *gasp* you even have a picture of him in the club album, but he is not on the list of relations? November 11 and Darker than Black! --edt-- David from Blood+. He is a great leader that I would totally follow anywhere. He just has that.. real man aura >.> and the scene where he was beating sense into Kai was quite something D: Modified by Takai, 11-03-08, 6:28 PM |

Not to be critical but Tenma nor David are badass enough for this club, well not in my eyes. Now I say that because I dropped Monster after about 27 episodes. It's popular and epic....I know....not my cup of tea. |

Retro from Dead Leaves, he went on a killing spree in the first five minutes of the movie, knocked up his girlfriend while inside a straight jacket, his DNA created child born wielding guns akimbo, and he has a TV for a head. |

I have a few different nominations... probably a few more than I should put into a single post, but oh well. All four are large and quite manly. First, Jet Black from Cowboy Bebop. He's manly in the classic type of way. He's strong, skilled, a hard worker, and serves as a father figure on the Bebop. He also man enough to forfeit his own personal happiness for the sake of another and to be honorable even in the face of betrayal. A true man. Next are two super-manly figures from Fullmetal Alchemist: Sig Curtis and Alex Louis Armstrong. If you have any doubts, just watch this clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8HeKEPpbXU Lastly, Dutch from Black Lagoon. His strength aside, the guy's a complete badass. Sure, he lets Revy do most of the fighting, but he's a very capable gunman himself. He also has nerves of steel and performs a lot of the dangerous in-person "business talks." Plus, he's got a great beard. |

What about Ladd Russo from Baccano? I know he's on the "badass" category, and i'm not sure if a sinister and hot-blooded psycho killer who dresses in white fits on this club, lol. But the guy is manly, without any doubt. Edit: And as a post above suggested, November 11 could be another character to add. Modified by Canopus, 12-09-08, 8:58 PM |

I just noticed that Freddie from Cromartie High School isn't on the list. This is a grave injustice, he is the god damn Freddie Mercury (with Raoh's horse apparently...) in anime form. ![]() Actually, I think the manga/show itself would make a good addition to the list. The female character count is ridiculously low (there's a female gorilla, and Maeda's mother who looks exactly like him), the art style is based on/a parody of Sanctuary, everyone puts emphasis on being total badasses. And it has Freddie Mercury. |

If you're gonna say Ladd, you can't over look Claire Stanfield, or Graham Spector. The trio make me wonder how the Baccano! universe manages to avoid collapsing due to critical overload of awesome. |

I would read it instead of watching it. I thought the Cromartie anime was pretty bad but I love the manga, plus it continues on for much longer. |
