And it was really just a set-up for the next big battle which made it even more impressive. Tsubaki and Maka really spiff up nice too. Maka xtra-cute and Tsubaki xtra-boobage. They really went the other way with Liz and Patty though - they looked like they were wearing track suits. I loved the look that Medusa gave Stein when she knew her cover was blown. Also, when Sid came into the dance and they cut to Black Star. The look he had with a mouth full of food and the drumstick in his hand was hilarious to me. Looked like something from The Simpsons. I'm not sure if I'm with the others in how sloppy Black Star was dressed or surprised by the fact he wore something resembling a suit. He sure protected the food until the end though. Be it Sid arriving or falling through a hole he kept a firm grasp on the drumsticks. Probably finished eating when they were heading to get into their fighting clothes. Things are pretty serious though. Even if the Mizune stay outside destroying things a lot of high level opponents down there. Medusa, Eruka, Free, and Medusa vs the three main teams and Stein. Just have to survive long enough for the cube to wear out. An hour is going to feel like a long time for the characters. |

fun episode, and the BGM at the end really got me pumped for episode 19, which looks awesome. It's nice to see the plot really starting to pick up, and seeing the characters dressed up was cool, as was getting to understand Shinigami-sama a bit more  |

that episode was awesome especially when medusia and stein was dancing and u saw there tru intention that was hilarious plus the reason why this episode rocked is because of the tru main character BLACK STAR |

Ah, this episode restored my faith in Soul Eater! After Excalibur I was getting frustrated that the show didn't seem to be getting anywhere, but all of a sudden here comes the badassery. Can't wait for 19 "All I want in life is someone to put one of my quotes under their sig" -Perposterone |

Been waiting for the adaptation to finally reach this arc! Funny to see them all dressed up like that. Soul and Maka looked smooth. Kid and Thompson Sisters look like they came out of an Austin Powers movie. Tsubaki's cleavage *nosebleed*, and Black Star being a lovable slob. |

Finally, we're into the main plot! x) I'm wondering how many episodes they're going to have this arc span... I'm hoping they're not going to try and condense it all into one! Great job with setting things up at the very end (with Black Star's intro music). Good job with Stein and Medusa as well - I can't wait for more of these two! (The preview looked awesome). For anyone who has been worrying about plot (especially after last ep T.T), please, may your worries end here. Here is where it all begins... ... and I can't wait xD Rweck said: They didn't cut anything. A real great episode. I was hooked from the beginning to end. I really can't wait for the next episode. I was expecting something else to unfold, but maybe that will happen in the next episode.      |

This was one of the best episodes jet! Maka was so cute <3 Stein & Medusa dansing :). I was kinda hoping to see Stein wield Soul in the previeuw but to bad. I liked shinigami talking to that kid and the song. Did anyone else get chills when they heard the same song playing at the party that excalibur was dancing to last episode? I think that episode is coming back to haunt us. |
