| Decent episode. Bit disappointed with Chihaya, though. Continually calling someone a nickname they don't like is pretty mean. Her methods for getting people to join is pretty extreme as well. In the end she did leave it up to Nishida, though, which was good. Nice that they tried to add some strategy into how karuta is played but not really sure it helped much. In the end it still seems like whoever can fling the card the fastest wins. Makes the game, as a spectator at least, dreadfully boring. We only see a fraction of the actual game, can't even imagine how long and boring the whole thing would be. |
| I don't see selfishness in Chihaya as much as her determination, which is shown in both the way she recruits and the way she plays Karuta. When you make a club, you want people to join. That's how clubs get started. I don't see how people think she's forcing this on the members. The point was that all the members wanted to join, but had a reason they didn't. All Chihaya did was get them to observe their activities, typical recruiting method if you ask me. My only concern with this anime is if they spend 3 episodes on this trio, but only focus on the 3 main characters for the rest of the series. If that happens, these three episodes would be excessive. |
| I get the feeling that Chihaya just didn't really register that he didn't like the nickname. She is a tad bit of airhead, after all, and pretty focused on karuta and everything related to it. |
| Nikkuman-kun ~ LOL Chihaya is so cute. XD Her face can be so funny sometimes, like when she was about to jump Nishida. I kinda envy their school store, soooo fancy with all the buns and trays and such - totally cannot find that in schools here! And the music... so nice. =w= |
| Psh, Nishida didn't even have a twist serve, Tezuka zone, triple counter or any super awesome move so it was useless to play the sport anyways. |

| Very predictable episode. At least we have all the members now. It was also nice to finally hear more rules for the game. I've been too lazy to look them up. |

| I am officially dropping a 7 to a 5 on this show. The direction of this episode was so predictable and Taichi's character being friend-zoned is appaling |

| I like Nikuman-kun! We needed some comedic relief on the team!! His voice sounds familiar, could it be the same as Bon's from Exorcist? Hmmm... Anyway, amazing good luck for Chihaya to find him in the same school, though I won't push it~xD When Taichi was explaining everything I felt so completely lost! I don't think I'd have that much patience and I;d probably forget all the rules of this game!xD Time to see what the Karuta club can do!! |

He will only make things more miserable and cause conflict if he appears. |
| Another good episode. Nishida, huh? He's good, and wow does Chihaya have some strong persuasive skills or something. Although she needs to calm down sometimes, like stalking people is not cool o_O Nice to learn more about the game though, like this "camping" stuff :S So Nishida quit because it wasn't fun and he wanted to win only he was beaten by Arata ... ho hum :P I STILL SAY THERE'S GONNA BE TOURNAMENTS AS THE NEXT ARC ;O |

| Enjoyable but way too predictable.. at least until now.. mhm... hope it'll get less predictable from now on since the members are all assembled now ^^ |

| porky boy!!! he's freaking fast!! pushing Chihaya like that towards the end O_____O Chihaya your making it to obvious you know that :P in the end, he always love Karuta and only quit because he didn't want to lose badly. i was weary about that teacher, i thought she was gonna sabotage the whole thing. good thing it was not the case :P Chihaya moments!!! she looks like an Angel ;) all we need is Arata to finally complete the group :P i wonder if Chihaya will indeed became the Queen of Karuta? :) |
| I totally forgot nikuman-kun was number 2 on the national level! :O But now that he's joined, hopefully the club will get stronger! I wonder when we'll get to see Arata playing karuta again? |

| 5/5 The game of Karuta becomes more and more interesting, though tedious, using the right narrative and the passion conveyed by the characters, it's a whole other thing. Plot a bit too obvious, the evolution, but there is at least as mentioned before the narrative to make the series very addictive. Chihaya always head and shoulders above the others. The kids are cute when they make those funny faces! XD Arata knows what he's doing, curious to know what will focus on the plot! * _ * |

| Nishida got his body much lighter by playing tennis. He beats Chihaya at the end but stil joins the karuta club since he quit the tennis club. These past few episodes really gave support to the supporting characters. Did Nishida just pick up that bread from the floor and eat it? O.O |

| Great episode. They finally have all members and we got to see more rules to play karuta and techniques to use against you opponent. I liked that. As a kid, Arata was so cute but I like how Taichi grew up. Sexy :) |
| Some people are pretty impatient. They're introducing the rest of the characters, no shit it's gonna be slow lol. Plot should be moving at a better pace from here on out. |
