| It seems so many people cannot stand Raki, i dont read the manga so maybe i might be missing something. What his character symbolizes (Maybe not so much him) is a very BIG part of the storyline & character development. He is in the story to bring out clare, without him we would have been stuck with the story following a incredibly serious, emotionless, servant!! :( Not to mention, in the overall design of a good movie/show. they require a heap of different overlooks, characteristics, views ..etc. Raki is part of whats made Claymore so insainly good. (Even though hes a 10yr old whiny brat who follows clare around ;P) So why the Raki hate?!!? |

| How is Raki a pacifist? He carries a sword with him, hes fought Orphelia, hes training to fight with Isley. It's not like he has any pacifist ideals either. He has never told Clare to stop fighting or even thought that maybe he should be the one who should stop fighting to fight. |

| I , in particular, don't really hate him. Others, i guess, hate him for the main reason - he is just like that, whiny, weak, weak-minded for the rest of series. I hate him only because his VA is annoying... Oh, and Claymore, does not follow shonen stereotypes ;]. That is one of the reason why it is different from other ones having "shonen" genre imprinted on their foreheads.. |

| Raki is a minor nuisance that keeps Clare in check, without him Clare could have awakened in the religious town. But then she could join riful and have a massive war against isley and kill priscilla in cool awakened being fights. Scratch that, Raki is useless, the plot would have been better without him. The only thing I guess people are hoping for is if Raki is going to get some from Clare. That's why he came back, he wants Clare. |

| Raki's that necessary side kick character to represent the more normal folks. He doesn't whine as much as Shinji, he cares for Clare and he brings her out of her shell, just like a young Clare brings Teresa out of her shell. It's called "family". But other than that, yeah he can't do a thing since he doesn't have yoki channeled through his body. |

| I was really annoyed by him too, but as someone else pointed out, he does realize his limits. A Yoma wouldn't even have to look in his direction to kill him. But, at the same time, if he loved Clare so much, I don't get why he got so fearful the 2nd time she appeared to be turning into a Yoma (just before the last 2 episodes I think), he just hid behind a rock scared. He could have at least shown himself to her, so that maybe she could have tried harder earlier to contain herself. I do hope he gets older and stronger though, assuming they'll be an OVA or 2nd season, I don't read manga. |

| It's not that I hate him I just don't like him. I agree with the oppinion that he's the one who reminds Clare of her human side and that's why he's important in the series. But I think that he's also annoying and keeps Clare down. I also dislike cry-babie men. I just hope he'll be dead or become a male claymore xD |

| yeah agree with fai..raki's voice was really HOPELESS in the anime. they took the pretty boy voice too far. took nasal whining to a whole new level. i cringed whenever he said "Creaaah..." a.k.a. clare. 0_o'' manga he's ok - almost a nice guy even - but the anime scriptwriters totally screwed him up with by making him say things at the end which made no sense. that whole anime ending killed my hopes for a 2nd season a little...sigh too bad since the manga's really great. i wonder how the anime scriptwriters might portray him though (IF a sequel ever comes out)...he's gonna realise that he might've just caused the end of the world because of all his "pacifism" and "sentimentality" seven years ago. -.- |
