According to the twitter of Akamatsu Ken, the DVD edition of Mahou Sensei Negima! Anime Final will be 84 min long, extended by about 40 min from the original version shown at the theaters. Akamatsu added that the lines of the characters were modified to make them sound smarter. The DVD will be released on February 17th 2012.

Not bad. I'm sure Akumatsu is happy that this crappy anime adventure has finally been put to rest, and on a good note as well.

Also: School Festival adaptation where ;_;.

Perhaps studios could do what Bones(?) did to FmABH; re-do the series and make it awesome.

In other words, Shaft didn't have time to finish the movie before they had to release it to theaters.

Shaft being usual Shaft. Nothing special.

I believe the original release was intended to be 60 mins but it was cut to 40 mins due to production problems. I think they modified the lines because the original was rushed so it can confuse the audience.

I didn't like the fact that the movie was released before it was ready. I really looked forward to the Negima movie, and I am glad that it will at least be a decent length when I get around to watching it.

I enjoyed the OVAs, and I hope I will enjoy the movie as well.

I would LOVE to see the School Festival animated, or a remake of the Negima anime. As long as they put effort into actually making it good. I'd rather have no more adaptations than to have a bad / average one released.

Typical SHAFT.

They generally remove all of the QUALITY and add in extra detail to every DVD/ Blu Ray release.
