"True, but why not kill them all at once if it was simply rivalry? 'Cause it would be to obvious?"

"Like I said: I have no idea...its just another town mystery" said Jason shrugging his shoulders.

"Good question. A lot of people vouldn't think that far ahead. But if the rival or politician hired a proffessional assassin then it vouldn't be too farfetched. Or maybe it was because the killer vas unsure of vhen they vould all be at home at the same time and so settled for killing them as they got home. Or maybe...they didn't die at home at all. The bodies vere found a few hours later. Plenty of time to off them and then take their bodies to the so-called scene of the crime to throw off the scent."

"Quite the diligent assassin, if that were the case, having to move their bodies from one place to another", Frei remarked.

"Professionals always take pride in their work, but another possibility cannot be ignored. They can have been used as a sacrifice for a cults ritual, or maybe they knew too much and needed to be silenced? Another possibility is...possession, actually. But I don't think a demon vould be involved. More like an angry spirit...vhich makes things even more complicated."

"And very smart for that century."Christina observed.Her cellphone ringed.

"I couldn't pass by to the library,the librarian was at Steph nee-chan's funeral so could you..."
"...bring an anatomy book?Took it before you child.And I also might bring a surprise home too."

"I like you", Frei smiled at the pale lady. "But I don't believe in demons or ghosts."

"Was that Silvia?" asked Jason to Christina, ignoring the babbling out of towners...

"Yes.She got so hyper when she figured out you may come to dinner.For the first time in two years she got worried about what to wear,damn." Christina chuckled.

"Danke. They haven't been disproven so I still count them as a possibility, but like I said, conjecture von't do a whole lot of good. At least not vithout evidence."

"Proof, huh? That would be difficult, considering how much time has passed since then."

"It's been done before, but you're right. It vould be very difficult."

"Really? What can I say, no matter how old they are... the chicks dig me" he winks flirtatiously.

"Oh you..." Christina winks and says whit sarcasm."Well,than shall we get going?" she asks."Or do we give the kiddo some time to get arranged?"

"Anyway, I gotta go. Thanks for your time."

Frei left hurriedly out of the library.

"See you again sometime then. Name's Ava." She says to Frei as she exits. "Must be in a hurry."

"Whatever you want... and see ya Frie!" said Jason.

"Than let's get going.But expect her to jump over you,so prepare your head for a hit.And goodbye,miss Beaumont." she waved to the leaving girl.Putting on her black shades,she added "Be sure to respect the speed limits." as she started to walk outside,towards her car.

Jason followed her with a smile his face... it was nice to smile despite Stephanie's death...
