Freaking great mood to this episode, and its starts an amazing arc. It's Spike's story so it can only be good. Spike kicked some serious ass this episode, mostly due to the fact of being mistaken by Vicious. The anger he has towards Vicious must be really great. I don't remember Lin, but it seems he worked under Spike in the past and now is with Vicious. Did Spike actually got shot? To Be Continued  |

Wow, the rage when Spike was mistaken for Vicious :D Great episode, I was quite surprised that Gren turned out to be hemaphrodite. |

Great stuff, just everything in this episode worked well. The music with the Saxophone was something to be remembered and really added a lot to the atmosphere of the episode. Also, Bebop shows it's knack for creating interesting characters. This time in the form of Gren. She said, "Don't make others suffer for your personal hatred." |

So what I understood from this video is that Julia was spikes lover but then eaither she left or spike left and the trio spike, julia, vicius broke up, and was the sax player julia? Well this is a cool set-up for a two-parter... The planet that Spike found himself exploring is brooding in it's atmosphere, and the bar Faye goes to has some amazingly animated mood moments. There's some little hints towards a deeply important and mysterious person called Julia being revealed later, and the single short action scene in this film is a great one. It helps that the drama is splendidly written and the new characters are well-defined, too, and the return of Vicious instantly adds a tension to the proceeding. The last few moments of the episode raised a few too many important questions for a cliffhanger ending IMO, but it could easily lead to a spectacular wrap-up next time. Considering Cowboy Bebop's track record. 8.5/10 |

I remember watching this episode 6+ years ago when I was 15 or so, and I was super surprised and confused when Gren turned out to be a hermaphrodite. But now... things like that hardly bother me anymore. And the idea of having different body parts don't effect me as much and I applaud Cowboy Bebop to have a character like this in their midst. But at the same time shouldn't define a character or change your opinion on them either.  |
