| sad to see charles and ray go. they didn't seem bad at heart. that whole incident isn't going to help renton with his wondering whether he's actually helping or hurting people though. |

| Holy shit. There go my two favorite characters, Ray and Charles... and they only just showed up, too. I won't lie, I shed a tear or two, but I'm a woman. I love how this series shows people reacting to and being corrupted by trauma. This episode was both great and terrible. |

| Interesting changes to the dynamic of the main cast--Renton, once viewed as the butt monkey, is now the MVP in more ways than one. That said, as other people have noted, this is a very sad episode. The show did very well in portraying Ray sympathetically. I couldn't help but tear up when I saw how she still had those three sets of plates and silverware, and even set Renton's mug out on the table. They could just have made Charles and Ray these evil rivals of Holland, except they gave them backstories, motives, and very strong story relevance--especially for the whole theme of Renton's coming-of-age. |

| :( I wish Renton could've given charles' ring back to Ray. that would have made for some touching moments. it's really too bad ray had to die like that though, although she was definitely prepared for it. but they need to get on with renton sister. Talho mentions her like every episode xD |

| the end for both Charles and Ray is surprisingly well done, i still cant think of them as the bad guys the series had gone more brutal since Renton first saw the remains of the dead pilot he killed |
| Holland 2 - 0 Beams (Final Score)!!! Well Holland is no joke in combat, but it sucks that Ray had to die I liked her. She was sweet and caring to Renton, learning from her background of not being able to bear children it made me sympathize for her. I was a little shocked that Ray went psychaotic at the end with the living quarters all destroyed, repeating Charles song on the radio, and wanting revenge on Eureka. Didn't care too much for Charles though, he was a nice guy and all but came off as a cocky basterd thinking he was just gonna run right over Holland & co. |

| I can't believe Ray and Charles got killed off so early. It's quite sad actually. And it seems that finally there will be some kind of explanation of what's going on. Finally. I get the feeling that Eureka has a nasty Rei Ayanami kind of backstory. Wonder how Renton's sister backstory fits in all of this. |

| Eureka is like "I want to know everything about you Renton" then shivers when he says the same. Selfish. I'm liking Renton more and more however. But it is really time to start telling us more about his sister. |

| These last two episodes were depressing, but some of the best... I am really digging the characters in this series, probably the strongest point of Eureka Seven IMO. They are not depicted black or white, nor completely good or evil. |

| Well sadly we knew it would come to a battle between the two groups, and I knew Gekko would survive, so it'd either be an escape for Ray and Charles, or, as it turned out, a fight to the death. btw I have no clue what that kiss with the blood was about, or what Renton means about never being told the truth (I guess I will find out). |
