Yeah, i've read a couple of the manga volumes of Blade of the Immortal and it's no doubt a masterpiece. But from what I've heard about the anime ... it's not so much. A lot of people I've talked to about it say that they were extremely disappointed with it. So I ask you:

What did you think of the anime?
Was it better or worse than the manga?
Why or why not?

I think the anime is Ok for the most part, but I am willing to see how they bring it to a end. The art is by far better in the manga, but the anime is very good so far. I hope they are planning to kick it up a notch for the action to come.

Totally, agree with CMB. They say it's only gonna be 13 episodes long.....how is that even possible. I hope this isn't another Berserk anime dead end.

I honestly didn't even know there was an anime until reading this, but I'll probably check it out someday.

Don't get too excited over it.

The manga is so good that there's simply no way the anime could do it justice. I don't ever plan watching even a minute of this.

13 shitty episodes, from what I've heard.I prefer to savor the manga and the emotions by reading it til the end. Right now America has released 22 volumes. In Japan I believe their only around 2 ahead of us. I've heard Hiroaki has plans to end blade soon....

blade of the immortal holds a special place as my first manga ever. as such the anime was a bit of a let down.
