My current PC's name in Canoe-PC and my project name for it was Andromeda. CPU Core i5 4440 I pushed it up a little, this isn't an overclocking CPU Ram: 8GB Corsair PC 1600 overclocked to the next speed Graphics Card 2 Sapphire Dual X Radeon R9 270 in crossfire I have two LED fans in my case. I'm thinking maybe build a server or mini ITX build next. I don't have a successor in mind yet for my current PC. |

Just as I suspected... the processor must have been placed incorrectly into the socket by whoever assembled your rig - because not all pins lined up with the holes, the processor and the heatsink ended up being uneven after latching; the corner arrows on the socket and processor must match to avoid bending any pins. The FX-6300 is roughly equivalent to a Core i3 in performance when using more than 1-2 cores. If you can afford another motherboard (and step up the budget for a replacement CPU since you are getting a new one anyway) you'd probably be better off with an Intel (Core i5) setup for strictly gaming purposes. AMD's FX series is good if you want to try overclocking and love to tinker with your PC's BIOS settings a lot. |

Overall good day ^^ I'd recommend you to go up to 50 anyway, just because by then you'd become familiar with where to train Lv. ~50 characters and the dungeons and quests, etc for those levels. If you reach 40 and then jump immediately to Lv. 50 Reaper you'd have an "experience gap" because you didn't go through 40-50. But then again, seeing how you've been working really hard to reach 40 that's already asking for too much, eh? XD natsukage said: Yep. I like PGA sockets better than LGA sockets. If you break a pin on an Intel motherboard, you will also have to reinstall your OS (Windows) because then you will replace the motherboard and go through all the hoops and everything for re-activation. Bending the pins on an AMD CPU means you only have to replace the processor... and AMD processors tend to be cheaper than good motherboards, anyway (on AM3+ at least)Right?
