I started this anime without any compromise to continue to watch. I usualy don't like to watch drama and slice of life (except when the anime has other genres at same time, like... Mechas [?]). But now I can't wait for the next week. Taichi... Arata... Your bastards. You made me cry. ;-; |

I spent most of the episode nitpicking over just how awful karuta is, and I can't take the characters seriously when they worship the stupid game like it's chocolate covered bacon. It's such a shame too, since the show has so many good qualities. I just can't get past the premise. Dropped. Glad I am not th only one who thinks this card game is stupid Plato is my friend — Aristotle is my friend — but my greatest friend is truth |

Ah oh my god I adore this show. The music is wonderful, the characters are cute, the card game is lol. It reminds me of Hikaru no Go for obvious reasons, and I dig that so hard. The childhood eps were super cute, and I'm torn between wanting more (though obviously the plot is leading to timeskipyness) and being keen for their super sexy older selves. Excited for next week! |

Yes, it's mostly played by children in schools for educational purposes. However, it's not stupid. bla bla bla The endless debate between fans and haters. At one point, after spending a lot of time on MAL, you just realize it's totally pointless.Niko-kun said: On MAL, everyone who has used the lame rating system becomes a critic and an intellectual by default, haven't you heard? |

Brilliant. Just brilliant. Got some laughs and heartwarming sensation that felt different from any other show. Also, the atmosphere with the music is amazing. I don't mind if the childhood arc continues till next ep, coz it really delivers!! ManInBlack said: "Zip it, Retro-kun!" That made me laugh!! :D Same here. XD |

Question: If you are allowed to hit a bunch of card all over the place then what is the point of remembering the place of each card? I mean you can't be serious by expecting every and each player to be able to put all of those cards back perfectly in the same place as before in a little amount of time. ![]() ![]() |

Wouldn't you look stupid if you just hit a bunch of cards all the time? It just shows that you're not really trying to find the card and just probably cheating by hitting them all at the same time. Karuta seems to be all about memory and reflex (at least that's what I have seen in the episodes; I've never played Karuta before but I think I'll try and see if there's an online version, I want to try it myself XD) so I think its vital to memorize it so you can get points either by getting your card or getting the other from the opponent's side? I'm not so sure. But I think that's the general gist. |

I'm pretty sure a lot of people outside America call Football stupid even though it's a national sport. Too closed minded imo. |
